As the CW doesn't actually stream their games, I will be glad that I have my season tickets for that game.

CW has free, over the air, broadcasts in most cities

Noon at Vandy.

Reminder to anyone who goes to the game kickoff will be 11 AM local as Nashville is Central Time zone.

Night game at ODU... that will go well.

It is obnoxiously on ESPN+

Danny is always open

I wish it were that easy

thanks. I hate it

Vanderbilt at Noon 11am is gross
Marshall on CW, a channel that doesn't offer streaming so I won't be able to watch it
At ODU should be all I have to say. 6pm on ESPN+ just makes it worse
At Miami at 7:30pm on ESPN is fine. I like this except we have struggled with Miami lately.
Boston College at 7:30pm on ESPN is also fine except for its Boston freaking college

CW you can get with an HD antenna.

Wet stuff on the red stuff.

Not everywhere unfortunately. No luck with the HD antenna.

Thankfully I get it on my you tube TV package. In Phoenix.

Love the BC thing, I really do. We get randomly fucking assigned them as a "rival"- as punishment for being VT and begging to get in the ACC and taking Syracuse's spot initially. So yay. They are never good, but kick the shit out of us because of real D1 OL that put our DL on skates. Joy!. Then in an amazing act of god, the ACC goes divisionless, creates a new schedule. Checks notes: oh, VT still plays fucking boston college... so random... then in another act of god, the ACC adds 50 teams, blows everything up, gives us NEW rivals that aren't boston college. whew..finally we don't play them... oh lets see the 24 schedule- it a complete fucking shock we play Boston Fucking College. wow. it's so random.
:

We get BC twice between 2024 and 2030. For comparison, we get both UVA and Miami every year (seven times) in that span. I know it sucks we have them again but at least it's no longer a yearly thing.

Right and the past 2 seasons with 13 other teams to spin the wheel- we - randomly (totally) drew Boston College both times. What are the odds?

Oh yeah previous pod schedule or whatever it was sucked, we still had BC as one of our primary rivals (didn't Louisville basically have our preferred pod?). I'm simply stating it's nice they finally fixed it.

Vanderbilt at Noon 11am is gross

It's noon EST, 11am local, just like every other 12pm kick?

Marshall on CW, a channel that doesn't offer streaming so I won't be able to watch it

Pretty sure you can get it OTA if you're on the east coast, or on YoutubeTV or WatchESPN if you're not in a place subject to a blackout

At ODU should be all I have to say. 6pm on ESPN+ just makes it worse

Night games are great. I get that ESPN+ isn't ideal for everyone, but just start a free trial then cancel

At Miami at 7:30pm on ESPN is fine. I like this except we have struggled with Miami lately.

I know it's a Friday night game, but we knew this going into the season. Having a primetime game on ESPN against a team we love to hate is kinda good, kinda bad. Lane will be rocking though and we'll get the ESPN treatment. Huge potential for us to shine when there's no one else to take the spotlight from us.

Boston College at 7:30pm on ESPN is also fine except for its Boston freaking college

I mean, yea BC sucks, but it's a thursday game, so it's the same time as every thursday night kick. The issue here is the BC part, not the scheduled day/time.

Lane will be rocking though

Unfortunately, the game is in Miami!

Although, good for me since I live in FL and plan to be there.

It's noon EST, 11am local, just like every other 12pm kick?

for one thing, I've never loved the noon games. Secondly, and maybe it's just scarring from years past, VT seems to sleepwalk into early games. Going into an 11 AM game on the road where the fans will still be hungover from the previous night (if they're even there) just doesn't sound exciting at all. I'm expecting VT to come out super flat and start behind the 8 ball in this one, which annoys me. Again, this might just be a skewed perspective tainted by the later Beamer years and all of the Fuente era where we just looked sluggish early on in early games.

Pretty sure you can get it OTA if you're on the east coast, or on YoutubeTV or WatchESPN if you're not in a place subject to a blackout

I do not own a television and therefore I do not have any antennae. If I can't watch it on my computer I can't watch it period.

the game is in Miami, my guy. Lane won't be rocking. Anyway, like I said above, I don't hate this one.

as you noted, the game time is solid. I love Thursday night games*. I just hate that our Thursday night home game is against BfC.

*unless it's against Boston fucking College!

Check if the CW is available in your area on YouTubeTV (it is here around Richmond, VA). You can sign up for a free 30 day trial, watch it on your computer, then cancel it.

"Nope, launch him into the sun and fart on him on the way up"
-gobble gobble chumps

"11-0, bro"
-Hunter Carpenter (probably)

Last year if the game was on CW, it was NOT on WatchESPN.

ESPN Plus- 5.99 a month- is different than WatchESPN- which was just a stream connected to your cable subscription

Anyone with an unlimited Verizon phone plan should have the option of $12 for Hulu/Disney/ESPN+

I have the ESPN+/Hulu/Disney package for the sports. In the middle of Montgomery County in the mountains. We get nothing over the air. So funny enough, I have fiber into the house.

Alright, let's hope for a fast start. Start the season out the way we closed last season, set the tone and take it to the next level. Or should I just say ... Let's go!

That 4:30 kick against Marshall is going to provide a nice amount of tailgating time

I found TKP after two rails from TOTS then walking back to my apartment and re-watching the 2012 Sugar Bowl. I woke up the next day with this username.

I will say this until I'm in the grave - Friday nights are for high school football. I hate the Friday night game in Miami.

Is coronavirus over yet?

agreed, but that ship sailed long ago. The NFL is playing games on Friday now. It's a shameless joke money grab

Fuck ESPN. I won't be watching - will be happy to listen to Burnop and Roth if I'm not on the golf course.

Didn't know where else to post this but Tech has already sold out all single game tickets for Rutgers, Clemson, and UVA. The only remaining way to guarantee tickets to those games is to purchase season tickets. I assume once the season ticket window closes they'll release the unsold back to the single game pool. Regardless, that's pretty great to see.

Honestly can't believe UVA is coming to Lane.

Well I feel like they had a valid reason to cancel their last visit.

Their last visit to Lane was 2019- 5 seasons ago. And I was just trying to be light hearted. I fully understand the horrible circumstances for the last cancellation.

All good, hard to articulate through keyboard but I was not trying to be combative in my reply DC.

The last time they were in Lane with fans was 2018, but they did play in the 'burg in 2020 and watched Herbert run all over them to the tune of 8+ ypc.
