Watching this in the 3rd quarter down 35-14 and knowing how hard we fought to come back and win and couldn't quite do it, losing 42-35 and what an absolute scumbag peice of pervert sexual predator trash scum Deshawn Watson turned out to be...ugh. I'm not gonna say that much more about that guy because of CG, but those of you who have daughters probably agree with me. Still a great game, and a heroic comeback by the good guys. SAM Rogers was the man! Damn...would love to play that one again!
Also Evans, Dragon and Bucky

That little pop pass to Rogers juggling catch for 32 yards with 7 minutes to go........followed by the toss to Isiah Ford for the TD.......boy. what coulda been.
Topher: RESPECT! I have a story about me in jury selection in Brevard County for a case involving a sheriff and an underage girl that ud appreciate. But I'll not do details here.
Note: I have several daughters....
You misspelled "SAM MF Rogers".
How bright the future was then... I watched that game with all my Clemson friends, Penn St friends, and Tennessee friends - at the end of the game everyone was convinced that Clemson was fortunate to start so hot, and that VT was going to be a force in the upcoming years.
How naive we were...
Future looked better sure, but that game was a classic score was closer than the game, IMO. The fake punt we converted and Clemson easing off a bit due to being up big made it misleading. Yes at the end of the day we had the ball with a chance to tie the game. In typical VT fashion, we didn't have a 3rd or 4th down pass play that we could actually block and execute over 6 yards.
I watched that game around primarily my Clemson friends, and I was beside myself when we made it a game late on.
However, while I do think we were a bit fortunate to get back in that game, when we were driving at the end we were very much in it to win it. If I recall, Fuente or one of the players said it was already decided that we were going for 2 no matter what if we scored on that last drive that ended around the Clemson 20.
We thought it was the light at the end of the tunnel. In actuality it was the train heading right for us.
If Whit was a visionary in 2016 he wouldve hired Pry to be off season/pr head coach and fuente to be gameday/gameweek head coach.
Invent the Future!
Invent the Fuente!
Invert the Fuente?
Man if Evans had stayed another year I think that would have helped the transition more as well.
Yeah that was a curve ball for sure.
