Four Hokies Drafted in MLB Draft

Four Hokies heard their named called in late rounds. All four have at least a year of eligibility remaining so may return to school. Stieg went to Alabama in the portal so wont be back regardless.

Mathieu Curtis (RHP): Drafted by the Atlanta Braves in the 14th round.

Jared Davis (SS): Drafted by the Oakland Athletics in the 17th round.

Griffin Stieg (RHP): Drafted by the Seattle Mariners. Stieg transferred to the University of Alabama earlier in the month. Sat all of 2024-25 for UCL recovery.

Andrew Sentlinger (LHP): Drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the 20th round.

Aiden Robertson, a JUCO commit was also drafted by the Texas Rangers in the 13th round.

All four were listed on MLB Top 500 Draft Prospects.

Two high school commits that were in Top 250 Draft Prospects also went undrafted.
