Bo Bassett and Melvin Miller each win at Clarion Open

Both Hokies commits beat a field loaded with current and incoming college wrestlers. Bassett with a dominating 11-1 win at 149. Miller with a 9-6 win at 157.

Hokies this weekend also had wrestlers at another couple tournaments, including the Southeast Open hosted by the Hokies and Roanoke College. Former Hokie Collin Gerardi is an assistant coach at Roanoke College.

Campbell (133), Crook (141), Bacchioni (149), Church (165), Burton (165), Desiante (174), Bullock (184), Smith (184), Sasso (197), Ferrell (285) and Mullen (285) all were in action at Southeast Open.

Campbell won 133 11-0 in final.
Crook eliminated in Quarterfinals. Bacchioni out in Round of 32.
Burton out in Semis, takes 3rd.
Church out in Quarters (shows 0-0 score though), Church takes 5th.
Desiante out in Semis. Takes 3rd.
Bullock loses in finals. Takes 2nd.
Smith loses in Round of 16.
Sasso out in Semis. Takes 4th.
Mullen out in Semis. Takes 3rd with Tech Fall victory.

Eddie Ventresca won at 125 lbs at the NWCA All Star Classic 4-0 over Seymour from Lehigh.

Wrestling will open their team schedule next Friday at 7pm against Bucknell.

Do you know what Bo weighted in at? He was significantly smaller than everyone he wrestled....and dominated them all.

He had been wrestling at 140 lbs at high school level so not surprised to hear that but can't find weight in info on flowrestling
