Didn't watch the game today as I had a big work event at a music festival. I'm tired as hell and did very quick scan of the graph and saw total, thought we won 12-11.

Now we wait for news of redshirts and portal entries. I hope some of the younger guys wait things out until the normal portal window to see who we hire before making decisions.

But I would think also the younger guys would want to stay on the field to show some good tape. Probably only the older folks who have some tape and don't need to show anything more / don't want to have footage from a poor performance that will opt out

Still want to see them do it against a real team, but seeing that Drones is capable of checking down and having early success running outside the tackles with Hawkins early was encouraging.
Time to check the tape and figure out who still wants to be here for ACC play.

My daughter was born on Thursday so she got to see a victory for her first game. Although, we watched the failed 4th down conversion while waiting for the discharge paperwork and I told my husband that play may have counted as child abuse.

Actually did not watch and didn't check score until just now... Thought it might be better for my mental health this weekend. Although my wife did take full advantage of that and made me do work related to our home remodel..... so... Fam?

I bit the bullet and watched the game on my damn laptop, the only way I was able to watch and hear the commentary. Got it on the computer and patched it to my tv via HDMI and had no sound on either one. Got out the radio but it was nearly 30 seconds ahead of the pictured game. Same thing when I had my old laptop out, it was at least 10-15 seconds ahead of the tv picture. I gave up and watched it in my lap and so what if I missed a play to take a leak or grab another brew. We need to get better tv gigs, but for sure I won't be able to watch the next game, so it won't matter if I just go ahead and go to the party over in Deltaville and worry about the game when I get home.

I didn't focus on it during this week's film review, but the linebacker play was still rotten. Spencer was, by far, the most effective, but he is so undersized that it is difficult to expect him to be effective in ACC play. Let's hope opponents don't try to spread VT out, they are much better in their 3-4 package when Jeanette is on the field as an outside linebacker.

And, sorry for being the good news bear, but if you thought Brett Clatterbaugh was the answer at MIKE, he was playing DE when he got in near the end of the game.

What in the Dave Wannstedt are we doing here? Moving DEs to DT, Mike's to DE, OLBs to Mike, Safeties to OLBs, CBs to Safeties and then well I guess that explains our pass coverage since there's no one to play CB.

His first game at Pitt was vs ND and game day was there so we went. The best sign was "free wannstache rides."
Also as soon as the talking head said he moved everyone like I said above I turned to my friend and told him that ND will running all over Pitt (they had a good running back but not a great team). Turns out im smarter than Dave.

FAM! First FAM thread of the season. Hopefully the first of many.
I almost forgot that FAM was a thing.
Go Hokies! FAM!!!
Is it lame that this is our first win? Absolutely. But we dominated them!

Didn't watch the game today as I had a big work event at a music festival. I'm tired as hell and did very quick scan of the graph and saw total, thought we won 12-11.
Middle-of-the-SEC-pack Vandy would've hung 70 on Wofford, with 40+ of that coming in the first half. Hell, even Clemson would have beaten Wofford.
Nice touch!!!!
FAM and all, but I still just feel like this.

We're back
Feels good to win. Concerned about the DB play though.
FAM.
At the very least, the team looked engaged and hasn't completely checked-out.
Still not sure that much of what we saw on the field today succeeds against teams with equal athletic ability but we will see.
FAM.
Now we wait for news of redshirts and portal entries. I hope some of the younger guys wait things out until the normal portal window to see who we hire before making decisions.
First off, Fam, obviously.
But I would think also the younger guys would want to stay on the field to show some good tape. Probably only the older folks who have some tape and don't need to show anything more / don't want to have footage from a poor performance that will opt out
FAM!

FAM for the win!! Everything else was just 'meh'
Yay. Scoring more points than the opposition is a good thing.
โ Bills won
โ Liverpool won
โ VT won
Now I just need my fantasy teams to come thru. But it's the first time all of "my" teams have won on the same weekend. So, there's that. FAM
update - my Sunday league soccer team won (woot, woot) but two of my 3 fantasy league teams took big Ls
the perfect weekend would include wins from VT, the Bills, Liverpool, my Sunday-league soccer team, two NFL fantasy football leagues, and my FPL team
anybody have the odds on going 7-0 on a weekend? lol
Read this with your best Leonard Nimoy Spock voice going through your head:
I would estimate them to be nine hundred and ninety-seven thousand, two hundred and sixteen to one.
Or maybe something along the lines of the improbability drive from The Hitchhiker's Guide series.
FAM!
A win. I'll take it.
$200 million FAM!
Wait we won a game of football? What should I do with my hands?
When did your hooves become hands? HOAT are you OK?
Horses are usually many hands [in height]
Shoot I forgot m identity. You're right my dilemma is what to do with my spectacular hooves
And what do I do with my feet?
We came out, played well, only a few things that really could be cleaned up. We didn't embarrass ourselves. I'll take that FAM
So GIFTORY, I guess?!
If we're going to get a giftory this year, it might have to be here.
a ween, is a ween, is a ween
fam
SOCON better watch out, FAM!
I can only dream of relegation...
FAM!
Don't know how many of these were going to get, so I'm going to celebrate the ones we do!
Pretty sure this is the one we get this year.
I think we get at least one more. Maybe two.
This is the way .gif

FAM
Congrats on the new Hokie who only knows a 100% winning Hokie team!
Congrats! My daughter arrived on the 1st so got to witness the vandy and ODU debacle before seeing her first Hokie W!
Congrats!!! Hope you recover quickly

I saw a couple plays from Gabe Williams that made me think that we have LBs on the roster. But the I saw a couple DBs that cant tackle st all.
FAM. We have the same record as Clemson!!!

FAM! Montgomery joins Price in the undefeated VT head coaches corner!
J.C. Price lost to Miami and Maryland in the bowl game, but he beat the team that mattered and I guess that's all that matters.
Montgomery has us at 1-0 and tied for 2nd in the ACC watch out fam!
FAM!
Didn't watch it FAM!

This situation will not bode well for VT in ACC play. This observation will likely be prophetic.
No, it will not. If we're seeing these problems then every OC has to be salivating at the stats they are going to put up against us.

At least Wannstedt could blame it on poor visibility, looking over his mustache.

Doesn't that leave the DT's playing Corner to take it full circle? Might explain how they always get beat over the top.
