Baseball went 3-1 on the week with a win over ETSU and taking two of three from Rutgers to move to 6-1 overall. This weekend they have a huge opportunity by playing three ranked SEC teams.

Yikes this could be a rough week for the boys
...or could be a breakout week. All depends on how they do. Win 2 or all 3 and probably end up ranked.
That said, all I really care about is our pitching doesnt fall apart the final five weeks of the season like the last two years.
I'll take a win against JMU and one of the sec teams. That will be a successful week imo

Gates saved the game with a diving catch in center.

Hokies used 6 pitchers. Roe got the win in relief.

Welp, today was one of those games where I had very mixed feelings.

Welp...not a blowout like the other two this weekend but still lose to Tennessee 3-1
This weekend solidified my expectations for this year. I think the best we can realistically hope for is a strong in-conference performance.
I am not even counting on that. Way too many good teams in ACC this year. Seven in top 25 and Louisville dropped out in last poll. UVA is also right near Top 25 in RV. 26th currently. Louisville 28th.
