I've been reading the blogs of some of the other ACC teams and there is controversy brewing at Syracuse because their current head coach, Scott Shafer, left his starting QB in the game too long where the kid suffered a helmet to helmet hit to the head. The reason for the controversy is that his QB already suffered a concussion this past September that had people openly speculating if the kid would play again. The fact that he was left in the final 4 minutes of last week's game where Syracuse was already losing 41-10 has a lot of Syracuse fans scratching their heads. Especially when their head coach stated that he left the QB in the game to try to start a comeback; less than 5 minutes left in the game and down 31 points....
Reading about that game reminded me about our 2013 Sun Bowl loss to UCLA where this happened:
I remember seeing Logan Thomas arguing and cajoling CFB to be let back into the game. I believe CFB probably saved LT's brain that day by keeping him on the bench.
Reminds me how much CFB did for his players. He really is a class act.
