Kyshoen Jarrett went down after a hard hit with Darren McFadden earlier today in the Redskins/Cowboys game. Luckily, he was able to walk off the field with assistance. The injury report later revealed that he had a neck and shoulder stinger and that he was also in the concussion protocol. This is the video (sorry for the very poor quality) of that injury report.

Not much of a consolation, but at least it wasn't in the middle of the season.

He's been placed on IR, done for the year (I'm hoping that means more than one game). Shouldn't affect him being on the roster next year, whether that be at cb or safety. Certainly makes a tougher day for the redskins secondary against Aaron Rodgers. #HTTR, #DBU
Kyshoen is ranked 5th on the team in tackles (solo & assisted) and only has a cap hit of about $558k next season. Easily affordable if RG3 is dumped off.
RG3 will be a free agent and the Skins have $12M+ in cap space.
If Scot McCloughan wants Kyshoen back (and I would imagine that he does), there's plenty of room.
Well, that's what I said. The bottom line is I don't think Kyshoen did anything to make Washington want to save $600,000 by cutting him. I'd be shocked if he was cut. Of course, this all assuming he doesn't lay an egg in the offseason.

Actually, you're right. I'm not remembering RG3's contract properly. Skins technically have him under contract for next year, but his only guarantee is the injury guarantee where he gets paid if he gets hurt this season, they can cut him without costing the team a thing. He gone.
I read up on it a little bit today. The contract is confusing in that they exercised his fifth year (why?) but I guess at the same time it didn't hurt as long as he didn't sustain an injury.

As a side note, McFadden also knocked out another DB later in the game. I'm sure it was just a coincidence, but it's interesting how offensive players lowering their heads is starting to get a little lime light.

Duane Brown also got injured today, I heard. Tough week to be a Hokie in the NFL. Tyrod had a good game, though.
