Recently announced Virginia Tech offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Brad Cornelsen spoke to Jon Laaser in a short video interview about his relationship with Justin Fuente, the situation he's walking into at Tech, the Hokies' offensive strategy and tempo among other subjects.
As a reminder, Cornelsen's remarks about the tempo of the offense mirrored Fuente's when he was introduced as head coach.
"There's a lot of coaches out there that want to lead the country in total offense, no matter what. That's not what I believe in. I believe in trying to win the game," said Fuente. "...That being said, we want to change the tempo. That doesn't mean we want to go at such a speed that we hang the defensive side of the ball out to dry so to speak...But we do wanna control the tempo. We have been a run the ball first team. We have made big plays through play action pass, moving the pocket and getting the ball on the perimeter. That's what we'll continue to try to do."

Jon may want to look into retiring that shirt.
Is "Mustard Green" a color?
If I had to give that color a name, I would call it "Burnt Yellow".
Baby shit yellow
I believe this is known as "Baby Sh^t Green"
That's what I would call it!
It is something that a parody of a Night at the Roxbury actor would wear.
I'm guessing a Columbian gentleman donated it to good will in 1982 and somehow it made its way to Mr. Laaser's closet...
"Oh nice, an interview with our new OC. Eleven comments already, too - must be some good discussion."

Wait, you guys don't know that those two phrases mean the same thing?

It reminds me of that 70's kitchen color avocado that has been sitting around fading in a room full of smokers for 40 years.
Is it ok to love a website? I'm asking for a friend.
That will always get a leg from me
Great video. Thanks for sharing!
Man, the spring game can't come soon enough!
107 days.
Has VT officially announced April 23rd as the day of the game? I had not heard or seen anything.
No football has not but the Hokie Club reps were advised the meeting is that day and they usually go hand in hand. Things could be changed because the meeting could be moved easier than a football game.
I'm sure it's standard rhetoric, but I love the fact that he is focused on winning rather than statistics. I know that young guys can get lost in the numbers, so hopefully this staff can keep them focused even when they ARE putting up big numbers.
Amen to that!
I like what i'm hearing...
