More Allegations headed towards UNC

From WRAL

UNC is considering issuing a response to the latest allegations brought forth by the NCAA later today.

Apparently, if you keep self-reporting, no sanctions can be handed down.

Per community guidelines I think you should add a few more sentences to your post to give a bit more info.

Juuuuuust a bit longer than the 90 days they had to respond.

Never Forget #1 Overall Seed UVA 54, #64 UMBC 74

It's genius really. You self report new stuff every year or two and just keep kicking the can down the road. You can't be punished if they are still investigating. My guess is that by the year 2100 they will be done self-reporting.

They're gonna accept this and run as fast as possible. Men's Basketball and Football off scot free? I don't think they even dreamed of this

It don't matter, I promise you it will amount to nothing more than a slap on the wrist. If the NCAA hasn't done anything by now, they are going to do little but nothing until other schools that so get hammered speak up and demand accountability.

Life's short, If you dont do it, somebody else will.

...yeah I feel like i've seen this show before. Nothing's gonna happen.

So why is anyone following the rules? Clearly there are little to no repercussions, UNC just played for the NCAA title. The problem is that the NCAA has not figured out how to punish a school without harming the current athletes who may not have been involved in the infractions. I say force a school to maintain funding to small sports while fining and taking away future scholarships in the sports breaking the rules.

Plan for the worst and hope for the best, not the other way around.
