1,000 words indeed.

Thanks for doing this.
He's a good guy, and deserves a great retirement.
Glad to see he's getting the all the love from Hokie Nation!
That is a teeny tiny Emma
Better ?

Aye!
That image.... Must... resist....
The man is a legend. A legend who gets to experience the greatness that he built. How many coaches in any sport (outside of maybe high school) get to live in the town that idolizes them, and gets treated to the love and respect that we have for Frank Beamer. The only thing that might be close is a living ex-president or a unique athlete like Jordan. And the fact is that he gets to experience this because he was not just a great coach, but a great man is what makes it really special. Bravo Frank, and bravo Hokie Nation!
It's a little off topic but I find it hilarious that MJ is on the sideline in Ann Arbor decked out Michigan gear. I can't imagine how frustrating that must be for UNC fans. How do you let that happen as an athletic department? Must be too busy looking for new rules to break and overlooking one of the most powerful (and legal) recruiting tools in all of sports.
You would think that if any school was going to be the first to wear Jordan brand uniforms, it would be UNC. Major failure on their part and a recruiting coup for Michigan.
Bruce!
Dang, is it too much to give the living legend the skybox on the 50 yard line?
Every time I see a video of Enter Sandman I get the chills...
Even BC players were jumping once that music hit.
Might as well add the part where Beamer went up to the press box and rambled on for 10 glorious minutes.

He may not have been very focused but I could have listened to that for the whole broadcast. The man still has a great football mind. Plus he knows the difference between Cam and Bucky.
Frank's back in the box. I really wonder what goes through his mind at times like these.
Pondering his milkshake flavor choice
Plotting strategies to avenge his headbanz losses to his grandkids.
Likely then decides not to bother, and to just take it out on Shane next time they play golf.
I can imagine Frank waking up on a Saturday morning, making coffee, looking out at his lawn for a while, pacing around the house for a bit, looking at his watch annoyed while Cheryl gets ready, and finally just deciding to go to the stadium. All before 9am
He was at the stadium at 9:43.

He was the Grand Marshall of the Homecoming Parade and that was the car he got to ride in.
Can you imagine coaching at the same place for that many years and suddenly on Saturday morning, not having anything you needed to do.
I do suppose he knows there's a place he's always welcome.
"Driver, take me to the house, please. No, the other one. No, the other one."
Confused driver eventually pulls up to Scott Stadium, but Frank can't blame him.

This is after the driver turns some donuts in the Endzone and a burnout to put the T on the V.
I've never been to Lane Stadium and the only time I've seen the Hokies play was Battle at Bristol and flew in from California for that. I was SO angry that they didn't let us do our entrance like I was expecting. Heartbroken, I've gotten over the score and getting treated poorly already, but I'll never forgive them for not letting us do our entrance.
We were supposed to according to the cheerleaders and UTenn was supposed to do their T, but was told that day they couldn't due to logistics. I can only assume the very pro-Vols organizing group said its only fair that we change Enter Sandman to Thunderstfuck.
I agree. There was no reason to not get a great entrance to Enter Sandman there. How hard is it to play "Enter Sandman" instead of "Thunderstruck"?
Meanwhile, we had to endure the other half of the stadium singing "Rocky Top" when Tennessee entered.
I have to believe we should have insisted on that one, and yeah, I get that it wasn't a home game. I still think that "Enter Sandman" would have been freaking awesome at ANY venue with that many VT fans in attendance.
At neutral site games, I don't think I'd have a problem if they organized it in a way to play Enter Sandman and have both teams running out at the same time.
