Deadspin: Harbaugh learns a thing or two from high school film
I mean sometimes you just can't make this stuff up. They debuted a formation where all players lined up directly behind center before they split out into their set and hike the ball. And how did this come to be?
According to CHSSA Now, Harbaugh revealed the formation was one brought to him by his son, Jay, who is on staff as the tight ends coach. Turns out, the young Harbaugh—a strong, milk-drinking son, no doubt—saw the formation when reviewing film from Chatfield High School, a Colorado school where tight end Dalton Keene played (Keene ended up committing to Virginia Tech). Chatfield coach Brett McGatlin tweeted about the formation when he saw it in use
So yeah. Our players are so ahead of the curve that their high school film is teaching Michigan how to play the game. BOOM
And for the record, Danny Coale caught the damn ball

That formation showed it was from highschool. It was too cute for a play where you just go big and run the football.
I actually think this is pretty cool. Props to Jim.
This just shows why Harbaugh wins so much. He's open to good ideas regardless of the source. If only we all were able to set aside our ego's similarly.

I am thinking this is the evil mastermind trying to sway a young Mr. Keene by catching his attention with this nod to his HS coach. It is better than a sleepover and probably easier on his back.
Make no mistake..... the ego of the Harbaugh knows no bounds.
I almost wish he coached in the ACC... it'd be better than the hatin on Butch Davis, but the evil mastermind is too good a coach.
