Probably not too impactful given his limited experience last year, but can't help them. Here's to hoping we can avoid any off the field distractions before the season (and during).

I think this will be impactful since their top returning receiver has not reported for school and now another will be suspended.
Haven't you heard that they don't need any WRs except for David Sills?
BUT MUH MOUNTAIN JESUS!!!1111
"It's ok, Will Grier can just catch his own passes. Mountain Jesus don't need no Receivers. He'll win without them cause he's a winnner" - WVU fan (probably)
With all these WR out, Grier is going to have a hard time completing any passes. But something tells me DBU will take pity on him and catch a few themselves, just to boost his % a bit.
BUT THEY HAVE MOUNTAIN JESUS! THEY CANNOT LOSE! THEY WOULD BEAT THE MONSTARS!
I think Mountain Jesus is gonna need a little come-to-jesus on Sept 4th
Space Jam gifs will always get a leg from me. Always.
Speaking of which, found this a month ago when I was moving houses (got it in a cereal box back in the day):

DONT MATTER PAWWWWWL. THEY GOT GRIER AND HE IS FROM THE SEC PAWWWWWWWWL.
Second DUI this year. One game seems a touch light...
Sounds like WVU is learning from the SEC when it comes to punishments.
Well, that's probably 2 helmet stickers at WVU.
This deserves 100 legs
This usually means jail time...or is the law different in WV?
Low bail, usually community service and house arrest after that from what I've seen.
I don't know how similar VA and WV DUI laws are, but in VA, 2 DUIs within 5 years, much less 4 months, is going to land you a few months in jail.
I know someone who didn't do serious time till his 3rd offense. I wish it was how you said it was in VA. Too often alcohol plays a role in a car crash.
My former tenant just got his third DUI in June. His first was 3 years ago, second was last October (which he beat in court) and then the third after we had parted ways early this summer. He is in jail until October I believe.
I know someone that did a 30 day stint over 15 weekends after his second in a year. I don't know what the differences are between..maybe b.a.c?
BAC probably doesn't need to be accounted for when the officer
The only logical explanation is he hit a skunk and has bad allergies
Pretty much every WVU fan on the r/cfb reddit thread agrees with you too. They're all questioning why he isn't missing more games or why he hasn't just been cut from the team...most of them seem to feel that 2 DUIs in 4 months is just stupid, especially considering how dangerous it is to drive drunk in Morgantown and how easy it is to avoid since they've got Uber/Lyft/a solid bus system.
I see the game going something like this for Grier...
Who is that....Tim Settle??
I feel this is what he's going to be seeing a lot of......
and Grier will be all.....

Looks like a classic Bud Foster bear front to me
As others have said, this is DUI #2. But just to make it worse, this is DUI #2 within 4 months.
1 game seems really really light. Talking to WVU fans on reddit, they sound like the would completely be okay with him getting kicked off the team.
I even looked at a few WVU message boards and most of them agreed that it was very light.
Reading up on it, he's officially suspended for 1 game but he's essentially kicked off the team until he can prove he deserves to come back. Don't think he'll even be practicing
If we don't win this game, it's looking like a long season. WVU has got to be the weakest top 25 team to limp into a season opener.
Dont jinx us...
But FedEx Field...
While I like our chances, I wouldn't get overly confident. Nortazhokie did a pretty solid write up on WVU over on TSL and I think they may be flying a little under the radar. In case you want to know more about the cousins or just want to know what names to yell profanities at, the previews are here:

Interesting he gave the WVU offense as much credit as he did. In the games where they played halfway decent defenses last season, they struggled. While they do return a great running back and solid backups, Will Grier really has nothing else around him. David Sills isn't just going to jump in and be a standout receiver. Ka'raun White is good, but one receiver will not kill us. Marcus Simms is out, and we still don't know a lot about Jovon Durante. I fully expect Bud to abuse their left side of the offensive line. Their right side isn't going to blow our defensive linemen off the ball either. Motu will be the x-factor in our run defense. If he is getting knocked back 2-3 yards every time he goes to make a tackle in the hole, it'll probably be a long day. If not, they will abandon the run early. Holgorsen is a very panicky coach.
Defensively, I don't expect them to defend the run very well without putting Dravon Askew-Henry and Kyzir White in the box. It'll be important for Jackson to be able to hit passes down the field to keep their safeties honest. With their safeties honest, we should be able to run down their throats given that they lost all 3 defensive linemen and 2 of their 3 linebackers from last season.
Okay I read the articles, but I didn't see a whole lot of reason to be scared. The tl;dr:
Will Grier could be good, but basically an unknown
Running backs are good
Oline is green
Looking for warm bodies at wide receiver
Defense: returns two safeties and a linebacker from last year's team.
Thanks for sharing, the articles brought me back down to earth a bit. I still like our chances, but if the roles were reversed and our opponent was returning our team I'm sure we would make ourselves feel confident; lost they're QB, no running game last year, lost all receivers but 1, lost 3/4 d-linemen, lost leader in secondary, best CB is questionable...
Again, I'm confident in our team, and more importantly in our coaches, but we have our own hurdles to overcome. Game 1 at a neutral site, anything can happen.
Flying under the radar nationally? Probably not. For Hokie fans who can't stand the thought of losing to them? Very possibly.
WVU is ranked in the preseason top 25 yet several indicators (ESPN's FPI and S&P+ ratings) are not nearly as bullish on their outlook. That said I think our fanbase's expectations are probably higher than they should be as well. I fully expect the winner will feel better about their chances this season than they probably should (a less drastic overreaction, non blue blood version of the Texas v Notre Dame aftermath last season).

Yet another drunk! I need to get a
Vodka!
Looks like the shine got afta you a little bit...
(pic's not working)
I got you, *hiccup* fam.
You'd think someone supposedly so good at catching a ball would be competent enough to catch a cab...
Sick Burn bruh
