I don't think we are as much of a lock as some seem to think. I don't want any teams like BC going on a run and winning their conference tournament and getting an automatic spot in the big dance. For every team that does that, a bubble team is knocked out. I'm afraid we could be on the losing end of that scenario.

We're fine. I think there's about 8-14 teams behind us for at-large bids, but if you're still concerned look at the results from teams in similar positions or widely regarded as on the bubble. FSU lost to Louisville and the game was never close. NC State lost to BC, which is worse than Notre Dame. Arizona State lost to Colorado in the 1st round, which is worse than ND. Oklahoma lost to Ok State in the 1st round and it wasn't close. Washington lost to Oregon State in the 1st round. Syracuse lost to UNC in the 1st round. If you google "Bubble Watch" you won't even find VT mentioned.
I would have loved to win against Miami and ND and improve our seeding but we didn't get it done on the court. Every situation being spun as a "lose-lose" gets very tiring. If we get an 8-9 seed people will complain about a 2nd round matchup against a 1 seed. If we get a 10-11 seed people will complain about VT not getting any respect and point to it as proof that there's a conspiracy against VT.

Oklahoma State lost handily to Kansas which probably ends their at-large hopes. Louisville lost to UVA. Missouri lost to Georgia. Might have helped for K State, Alabama, and Providence to lose but they all played other teams in the 7+ seed range so it certainly wasn't a disaster. If Duke, Texas Tech, Villanova, and West Virginia take care of business it should give us even more cushion going forward.

well LOLUVa dropping a game at home didn't hurt their standings. I doubt very much dropping one at a neutral site will. So they can definitely afford to lose one for the sake of the ACC getting another team into the big dance. Honestly, same with Notre Dame over Duke.

BC came out on fire but the wheels have started to come off after about 6 or 7 minutes. Shots that have been falling haven't, and Clemson is scoring on the break easily.

Except BC, I hope they win the whole damn thing.
Yes! at this point i want all the lower seeded teams to win to get as many ACC teams into the tourney as possible.
Except for Notre dame they can fuck right off

A team that finished above .500 in the ACC with wins over UNC, Duke, and @UVA is in.

Is anybody STILL hungover?
Yes...
I'm gonna watch the Conference USA tournament games and root for MTSU.
Screw the ACC until next week...
WHO THE FUCK CARES? I'm not watching this ACC money moguls play anymore. I will wait for the big tourney
This!!!!!!
Yes, today I don't even care that this thread didn't bother to provide game times.

I hate myself for saying this but I need Duke to poop all over Notre Dame tonight. Matt Farrell is the worst and I want Grayson Allen to make him cry.
I hope Grayson trips Farrell up. Bigly.
I am cheering for the meteor during the ND - Duke game.
That is something I normally reserve for the GT - Miami football game.
FUCK ND - that is all!
Go Louisville. That's all that's left for me in this ACC tourney. Lot of teams I don't like, but loluva is in a whole other category.
I just hope ND gets blown out and gets relegated to the NIT on Sunday.
And they lose there. Early and often. OK, just early.
TV Teddy just called a foul against Louisville closely defending Guy when Guy was standing out of bounds three feet in front of him.
Only because Rick Pitino ain't strollin the sidelines.

I'm not even sure who to pull for now. I guess all the favorites. Especially Duke.
Is there even a tournament still? /s
Not that matters.
Not as far as I'm concerned. No /s necessary.
MAN That three seed vs BC sure is looking like it would have been nice rn
I think getting our pride hurt was probably better for our tournament chances.
It's like having your dad name you "Sue".
Remember last week when we all said that getting our pride hurt will help our ACCT chances?
