Carson Jones committed to the University of Virginia two years ago when he was a pitcher. But his game has changed a good deal since then, and so has his future.
This summer, he played with the RBA West Seminoles travel team and continued to hit well. He's resumed pitching, throwing two or three innings each weekend, and his confidence on the mound is coming back.
Virginia Tech offered him as a two-way player, and on Saturday he committed to the Hokies.
Any victory against LOLUVA is a good one.

Keep an eye on this cat for the class of 2021. He attends my old high school's rival. Kid went 12-0 with 120+ SO's, won state title game, and ended up the 2A State POY as a freshman. Committed to Tech the other week.

His Dad is a good customer of my old employer. For years I would see him and his Dad practicing outside their home on my commute home. I hope he does well. Page County has some good young baseball and softball players.
