Virginia Tech quarterback commit Tyler Warren has re-opened his recruitment, VTSCOOP can confirm. The news was originally reported by Twitter account @HanoverSports on Wednesday.
Warren is a 6-foot 5-inch, 200-pound dual-threat quarterback that was the first member of Virginia Tech's 2020 recruiting class. Warren committed to the Hokies in August of 2018.
My thought is that he might get an early look elsewhere with QP III, Hooker, Burmeister and Knox all in VT uniform already. Good luck to him.

Sucks, we have seen how quickly our qb room gets depleted and then has to be replenished with transfers under the new regime...
Best of luck wherever you end up kid
He had offers from Syracuse and UVa before he committed to us.
So only one P5 offer.
I am in the camp that we should take a QB every class.
While you say the QB room looks crowded, if Warren, a 2020 recruit would redshirt, That gives Hooker and QP a year and two yrs left in the program, Burmeister is a total question mark as to whether or not he can throw, and Kadum was a lower rated guy who we took a late waiver on. By the time a 2020 guy would see the field, who knows what happens with how any of these guys pan out or what happens with injuries?
I'd assume our staff isn't going to be content with signing only Kadum in 2019 and not signing a QB in 2020. We're going to have to get someone this year.
I have a feeling someone transfers after the season or Perhaps Spring and then we get someone either a transfer or Freshmen. I think in this case he might be looking for a place to get some early (ier) playing time. Well there are some crazy things happening with QB transfers so who knows really, here is one perspective:

I mean this was all set off with just one QB transfer and then all hell broke lose.
Hokies obviously knew this was coming and didn't wait long to act.
Noah Kim grades .80 vs Tyler's 0.85. I know ratings aren't everything, but that seems like a pretty significant dropoff....Also, no P5 offers
I had the same thoughts as you so I was trying to do some research. Seems like the kid had led the team on a 37 game winning streak over his first three years before getting carted off in the V6 semifinals game last year. I wonder how he looks if he finishes the game and they win another championship.
Actually said VPI&SU. Kim's a keeper
Well now with Kim all we need is a stud wide receiver from Westfield and it'll be 2007 all over again.
Man I miss that team. Loaded with talent: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2007_Virginia_Tech_Hokies_football_team
Looks like the kid takes snaps under center (with footwork) , good arm, height, smarts, TOUCH on the ball and he wins (excels under pressure).
Not sure we need another QB (ready to start) for two more years. Dude might be 30-40 pounds heavier and ready to go!!!
