FPI projects VT to finish at 9-3 but the breakdown of each individual games comes up with 10-2 with loses to PSU and Louisville. outside of the two loses, VT is projected at greater than 70% to win every other game except @UNCheat which is basically a toss up with VT at 52% chance of winning.

Let's just hope they actually play the season.

I think 9-3 is how most feel we "should" do. I don't mind FPI, but i'm fairly pessimistic we'll have 9 regular season wins, unfortunately. it's not accounting for things like "no spring ball" and "new defensive coaching staff" etc

thanks for sharing!

Also forgot to mention that Loluva is projected to be 4-8 this season. This is another reason to want this season to happen.

It's so difficult to predict with a new defensive staff AND covid (aka no spring ball). I wouldn't be surprised to see a step back on defense despite the returning production.

Must be thinking about basketball OOC schedule, no way the football team wins 9...

I can imagine no more rewarding a career. And any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction:

Okay I'll take the bait, what is your win total prediction and why?

They'll really get after ya

I would agree if our entire receiving corps and most productive back hadn't left as well as having a new look defense with almost entirely new staff.

Also I think it's serious overconfidence to think we'll get through @Carolina, @Pitt, Miami, @Duke and UVA unscathed. Carolina has loads of talent and will be much better, Pitt and UVA will both be decent and are rivalry games, Duke just brought in Chase Brice at QB, and Miami is stacked as hell and finally has a flat out baller at QB. This is gonna be a fun season to watch but even performing at a high level this team could easily go 8-4 or even 7-5 if Louisville and Duke or Pitt surprise us

I'd be happy as hell at 9-3 after not being able to have a spring with new D staff and losing what we have. I'm sitting on 7-5 maybe 8-4. I'm thinking the cheaters might get us this year.

Warning- Filter lost.
