PFF ranks VT's O-line 6th best in country this week.

When was the last time we have had O-line play this good? I am honestly curious. Jake Grove days?

To that point

The Orange and Maroon you see, that's fighting on to victory.

And yet the PFF article has Hoffman as the lowest grading offensive lineman.

Be sure to get fully dipped and join TKPC to read French's film review of the OL. He highlights how the OL handled McNeill.

Hoffman missed a blitz pick up that lead to BB hurting his hand. He also couldn't scoop McNeil a couple of times.

I would have ranked them 1) Nestor 2) Tenuta 3) Hudson 4) Smith (would have been higher except for some busts on the opening two drives) 5) Hoffman 6) Darrisaw... and Darrisaw was mostly because I didn't notice him.

Smith, especially after he came back into the lineup after a brief rest, was a monster. But, he struggled getting to the second level early. By the 3rd, he was mauling people.

since you didn't notice Darrisaw does that at least imply he didn't blow any plays on Saturday night?

Good to see Jordan McFadden is really good. Or it's terrible to see that. I'm not sure.

Of note, Josh Ball starting for Marshall as well.

Let's pause a moment to dwell on this:

Against NC State, though, Tenuta was the highest-graded tackle of the week. He didn't allow a single pressure and led all tackles in positively graded run-block rate. If he sustains that type of play, Virginia Tech will rival Clemson for best tackle duo in the conference.

And were both barely 3 star guys. You have to find the clay, and then make an OL into a player. If they have feet, reach, and size, you have something to work with.

Plus, Clements is in the wings.

I'm not sure how much we're paying Vance Vice but it isn't enough. Pay the man before someone else does!

On the QP touchdown run, Nester absolutely demolished his man. I just re-watched it 4 times and got equally as fired up each time.

That needs to be a gif-tory all day long.

It is in the giftory. At the very bottom.

And with two different angles!

Boom! Clearly haven't been tkping hard enough today

Speaking of Lines, one thing I noticed was we didn't hear much about our own DTs, at least I didn't in real time. I know Kendricks got a sack, but didn't hear or see Hewitt getting in there as much.
