2020 Bowl Games

So with all the cancellations this weekend, 13, I was thinking about what will bowl season look like. There is no win requirement for bowls this year from the NCAA, there are also fewer bowl games and likely to shrink further. So will we see a PSU that might only win 4 games get a bowl invite but 6 win Troy left home?

What is the thought of the TKP brain trust this year? How many bowl games? Who gets in? Does Tech with 5/6/7 wins?

I think it's going to be different than "left home." There's going to be some decisions made to simply not participate. And at some point, many of these bowls won't be held. With the rates going up and gathering limits going down, they won't fit into the states guidelines.

I'd take that a step further and say the way the playoff operates my only be in a true bubble, with teams traveling there a week in advance.

With all the postponements these last two weeks, I'd be surprised if college football is played too much longer this season. We are getting to the point of diminishing returns.

I would be surprised if a bowl could even turn a profit this year with the reduced attendance numbers and the general public not wanting to travel.

Tv money is the real money they make.

If schools still have to pay for the seats they cant use then sure they'll make a profit.
