Getting the Week off quickly.... UNC ducked Miami after a video showed up 2 hours before game time showing two key UNC players partying no masks after beating Duke
Why didnt the Tar Heels forfeit? Oh that's right, Tobacco Road...#ACC 📉 Go #Hokies Can't have both #UNC and #Duke each with 7 losses. https://t.co/H9bEaC4gJ7— Robert Peterson (Hokies IceintheVeins) (@REPETEinDC) February 9, 2021

Shocker...Zags won again by more then 10, although BYU kept it respectable.
Kansas did knock off #23 OK ST.
theoSu winners too.
Lets scream in peoples' faces without a mask during a pandemic. What an ass.
What actually happened? I woke up to a pile of notifications about it but nothing more than clips of him flipping out.
29 fouls, two players fouled out ...
But when he drops to the floor and "calls a timeout" during his rant was supposedly because a WVU player called a timeout and the refs didn't call it. So TTU couldn't set up like he wanted.
LOLUVA on upset alert. Down 26-20 at Georgia Tech at halftime.
Welp, Bennett got them fired up at halftime...UVA held GT to 22 second half points. Wahoos win 57-49.
Tennessee takes a heavy L against unranked LSU, and Oklahoma edges wvu in 2OT
I only wish both teams could take a loss in UNCheat at LOLUVA.
UVA held UNC to 18 points in the first half
What happened with FSU game? Seeing lots of tweets about it.
Wake took them to OT but FSU won. Scottie Barnes tied it at the buzzer. Wake probably should have won in regulation. Last minute was a show.
Going to be really interesting to watch them and UVA tomorrow. My most pressing question regarding that game, who on earth is Clarke going to guard to stay on the floor? Walker too physical, Barnes and Gray are their other primary ball handlers and they both dwarf him.
WF missed FTs that would have iced the game in regulation.
Creighton beat Villanova in style today. 86-70
As of this point, for the week
#7 Texas Tech lost to #14 West Virginia
#10 Missouri lost to unranked Ole Miss
#5 Villanova lost, but to #19 Creighton
#10 Missouri lost, again, to unranked Arkansas
#14 West Virginia lost to #12 Oklahoma
#16 Tennessee lost to unranked LSU
#3 Michigan and #8 Houston are the only ranked teams ahead of us playing tomorrow.
If I had to guess, VT may move up 3-4 spots in the rankings on Monday, up to 15.
VT only plays @#17 FSU who may knock off #9 UVA on Monday.
Depending on other outcomes, VT could be ranked in the top 10 going into the last week of February.
Tech is going to get punished for not playing watch.
I agree, I would be surprised if we move up at all. With Creighton pulling the big upset, they definitely jump ahead of us.
This week #1 won twice, #4 won twice, #5 won and lost, #6 won, #7 lost, #8 won, #9 won twice, #10 lost twice #11 won twice, #12 won, #13 won twice, #14 won and lost by 1 to 12 in 2OT, #15 won twice, #16 won and lost, #17 won, #19 won twice, #20 won twice, #21 won, #22 won, #23 won and lost, #24 lost, #25 won and lost.
I expect that barring Wisconsin beating Michigan or Drake beating Loyola Chicago, Hokies stay flat or fall to #21 as several teams behind us will have won once or twice while the Hokies DNP.
Only good news is it looks like Colorado RV is going to lose to Cal. If they had won, they would have had three wins this week as the #27 so likely would have jumped us.
And the irritating problem is it wasn't our program that had the issues. We will get punished for our opponents failures regarding COVID. I won't push that hard, as who knows what could happen before the end of the season.
One good thing, is hopefully Radford is back and had a week of practice.
EDIT: Spoke to soon.
The UNC game was actually our program and based on when that news came out, even though the Louisville game was postponed initially due to the Cardinals, it wouldn't have been played due to our programs positive. The FSU game was on their program but this is what it is these days and we aren't the first to rise or fall based on postponements. Reality it doesn't matter much. If the Hokies have more games before the tourney then obviously they need to win, but not losing anymore would mean we get to the dance as is.
Drake took down #22 Loyola Chicago and Michigan best #21 Wisconsin. This probably keeps them about where they are after a 1-1 week for both. Likely means the Hokies end up #20 tomorrow.
Games remaining:
@ FSU: Quadrant 1
v GT: Quadrant 2
v WF: Quadrant 3
v Louisville: Quadrant 2 (almost Q1)
@ NC State: Quadrant 2 (almost Q3)
