Looks like we actually beat out a few P5 schools this time
So he'll be getting his 4th star soon?
So my favorite part of this is that we got a talented player who wants to be at VT.
What I like second most about this is that, before we missed on Cam Miller, he was a heavy Maryland lean. After we missed on Cam Miller, we dialed up the heat and beat them head to head for Delane's services. Now idk what our priority list was at CB because I'm not in the coaching facilities, but the timing of how that played suggests that we doubled back on a guy we had been recruiting for a long time who was leaning elsewhere, and won. I like that.
Darn tooting!
He also plays 7 on 7 with Cam Johnson -- currently between us and BC for him, with it looking like a head to head battle between Coach Smitty and Aazaar Abdul-Rahim who has been a really strong recruiter at P5 level.
nice subtle shot, sorry I didn't express my excitement for a new recruit, forgot that was obligatory here since croots read everything here
I genuinely have no idea what's going on here. I wasn't saying you weren't excited and I don't think either of us were bashing the recruit?
He was not expressing excitement., his entire post was tongue-in-cheek. He then got offended because he thought your response of genuine positivity was a direct attack at him, knowing that he dwells in negativity.
LET'S GO!
HOKIES!!!
#MD2VT
It works for his initials AND his state!
I like our decisiveness in picking cruits and getting them to commit. The staff has been working hard to fill the ranks, hopefully with some quality players. If whoever picked strong picked this guy, we should have a good one.
Well being from Maryland, I like MD to VT at least for DBU. From my memory Fuller Bothers, Rashad Carmichael, Keoin Carpenter, Donovan Riley, and current crop Dorian Strong and Jermain Waller
That is the Fuller-dipped answer.
Ayyy, give that man Coach Smith a MFing raise!!!

Let me say I don't disagree with this statement at all... but, in the 247 commitment article, he talked about the importance of his relationship with Justin Hamilton as the deciding factor.
Quick edit: I love everything about this commitment - the seemingly big flip from Maryland, the kid himself seems like he's got that big hidden potential, and he's got a great relationship with other big-time recruits that could pay off huge for us. So happy to see the coaches bring him in, and so excited to this dude in maroon and orange in a couple years.
Freaking sweet, I love it, all of it. Here's my favorite quote, or set of quotes, from the article:
A ton of our commits this class, we've recruited with a first offer, or got in super early and built the relationships to close the deal.
Welcome Home, Mansoor!
WELCOME TO DBU, MANSOOR!
LETS GO!!!!!
HOKIES!!!
Good measurables, kid from our back yard, and been recruited for months, sounds like a win all around.
We got better today! Can't wait to see Mansoor in the O&M
It seemed obvious with a name like Mansoor Delane. Mansoor: He who is victorious. De Lane: Of Lane. It's only natural.
(One of these is accurate. The other less so.)

There's something interesting here - Delane keeps harping on the relationship he had with JHam. It seems a little more in-depth than the typical college coach / high school athlete during the recruiting process.
Something tells me JHam sees a lot more than in this kid in particular.
Is it pronounced "Kevin"?
