LETS GO!!!!

HOKIES!!

Old sigline: I've been cutting back on the drinking.

New Sigline: lol it's football season.

Nice to add some depth with a couple of WRs. Question is...are we done with transfers at the WR position?

Jennings
Felton
Gosnell
Holloway
Jones
Lofton
Moss

The young guys will need to step up. Moss looked good early in the year, Lofton has a lot of potential and I'm hoping he makes a jump, and Holloway could be good in year 2. I honestly wouldn't mind another proven WR being added to the team.

We also have guys like Gallo and Wright at TE. Wright is basically a WR the way he's been used.

Dallan Wright is coming back from injury as well

I'm loving this approach in the portal to go after Virginia born guys that either big dogged us or have outplayed their HS rating. Jennings(Herm/Springer), Felton(Churchland) and Varner(Maury) all outplayed HS rating. Grimes, Teradja Mitchell, Antoine Sampah also in the mix. These guys were 5 stars in the last 5 years, if they come home and have any success, it'll certainly pay dividends with current HS recruits who looked up to those guys as kids. It's a great angle Pry is working! Go HOKIES!

There's no glory in practice and lifting but without practice and lifting, there will be no glory!

I agree. Very Beameresque to find undervalued guys with a chip on their shoulder. But also fits with the modern transfer heavy recruiting game. Whether it works or not, we'll certainly see, but I appreciate the strategy.

Pry is applying the same strategy to the Portal as he has to high school recruiting.

This isn't very different to what Houston Nutt did in Mississippi. He signed huge classes, grayshirted extras to community college in Mississippi, and then transferred them in later, essentially building a farm system. We did this with FUMA. Kids didn't have to sit out a year from CC or prep school to FBS.

Now, those kids can go to a Norfolk St type school, FCS, lower FBS, ball out and transfer in with a built up resume. And they no longer sit out a year. Benefits the smaller schools, and the big schools, and most essentially benefits the players.

I haven't Felton like this in a long time!

Not since 99.

(From Get Smart. OK, it was Barbara Feldon, not Felton, but she deserves a mention here and there.)

99!

I've got 99 problems, but Barbara Feldon ain't one.

Is it weird if my favorite part is the houndstooth suit?

I'm still figuring this out.

I saw this kid win the 300 hurdles at states his senior year. He was built like a grown man 3yrs ago so after 2.5yrs of college I'm sure he's even bigger. It also doesn't hurt that he put up decent numbers on a really bad NSU team.

Yeah but like what was his time?

(I ran that in HS, I'm certain his was better no need to dig that up - I just panic when running sports get talked about)

I'm still figuring this out.

38.82, winning the 4A State Title

The pace would be good for 5th All-Time for VT.
