Those jerseys are okay. I think the best thing about them is that they don't have shoulder stripes. Maybe it's just my screen, but it seems to be the wrong shade of orange
No the orange isn't really the same as it on our other stuff, but the jersey pops. It reminds of the 90s jerseys. And if I recall, we had a monster game the first time we wore them.
I remember crushing unc in those jerseys. I don't remember ever wearing them again.
I like them. I hate the shoulder stripes so anything without them is a winner for me.
Scrap the Hokie Stone helmets. This is the look.
My absolute favorite VT logo. One of my favorite pieces of memorabilia I have is a replica Kam Chancellor helmet with this logo.
Orange orange white? Using those one off orange helmets and the one off orange jersey kinda neat combo if we're gonna wear orange.
As much as I would love that, Clark Ruhland did confirm that we only have white an maroon helmets this year. We may be able to get creative with the decals we put on them, but I do believe that orange lids are out of the question.
And given we are getting a complete uniform overhaul next season, I would think that we aren't going to be trotting out any special jerseys this year, so you're looking at the same basic white, maroon or orange jersey and white, maroon or orange pants.
All orange everything. If you're gonna go, go big!

I would feel a lot better if they dug up the 70s logo like benw suggested.
That'd look great, but I don't think we're seeing any unique or throwback logos while Whit is around. He wants the standard VT on the helmet
I guess I'll take that if it keeps us away from Hokie tracks and foghorn leghorn. Pry has been wearing an awful lot of the T in the V logo. Maybe he can convince Whit to use it every now and again.
I understand they might not be able to use the jersey I suggested because they don't have any in stock. But, this is the perfect game for an alternate logo/unique helmet. Pre-Whit we went overboard, but we should have 3 alternate logos in rotation (TV, state +TECH, and Fighting Gobbler) with alternate white, orange, and Hokie Stone helmets. Use them sparingly like 1 or 2 games a year. 10 games plus postseason we go with a fixed look. Homecoming and maybe another game we mix it up and we have fantastic old logos.
If anything, this uniform brings us more luck than AME ever did
IMHO, this combo could be improved by a few details:
1. Why do the helmet stripes appear black rather than maroon?
2. The white collar stripes are too wide.....break them up with a maroon middle or thin border.
3. The white jersey numbers look really plain.....perhaps a thin maroon border/ribbing on them too.
4. Not sure, maybe a maroon or M+O logo on the socks/leggings?
We should distinguish ourselves from the orange Boohoos, Clempson, Syrupcuse, We'reBackU, etc. with our unique color COMBO. A little accent does a lot!
Regarding point 3, I completely agree, and think the maroon and white jerseys need it as well.
Hopefully they listen with next year's overhaul
Like AME is for all maroon, I like the traction I have seen to name this the WOO uniform (white/orange/orange).
My wife has made this point every single time she sees it.
VT would make a ton of money if they sold maroon leggings with the orange TECH on the leg, or orange leggings with the maroon TECH

Yeah... those were not the ideal execution. Our soccer jerseys use a thinner line and solid color panels to break up the bumble bee look.

I've killed him, primarily because he hasn't done anything in games for 5 years. But if he becomes an ace gunner this year and a real contributor, I'll be his biggest fan. Hopefully this #25 indicates he has a decent sized role on specials this year.
