Congrats to Sean.
Growing up quickly this year.
Live this for Sean, but it sucks that we only went 1-2 over this span. Starting to remind me of that year Erick Green went off but no one else could assist. Just feels like it's not a good sign for program health
But what do I know? (Not much at all)
The last 4 games Tech is 1-3 and Sean (PG) is averaging more TOs than Assists during that span. He creates very little for others and takes a ton of bad shots. He gets his through quantity, not quality. These are not the attributes of a program PG. I love his moxy and I love his confidence, it just doesn't seem to be translating into making the team better.
In terms of his shooting, he was 33-64 overall (51.5%) 15-33 from 3 (45.4%)
Turnovers are rough at 18 over the four games, glaring in the Miami and Wake game at 6 a piece. Assists at 15 over the four is certainly not what you want from your point guard. Outside of Collins in Clemson game and Nickel against Miami no one on the team had more than two assists in any of the four games.
How much of that is Pedulla hasn't let them touch it to turn it over.
That seems like an indicator of a bad offense, no?
Absolutely. The last four games were not good as the record attests. Hopefully they can get on track against the awful Wahoos who have much worse ACC losses than do the Hokies. The team had assists on 50 of 108 baskets. The FSU game was glaring at 9 assists to 25 baskets. I missed two player/game above 2 assists as Kidd had 3 against Wake and FSU.
Still doesn't change the narrative much. For a team that purports to find open shooters with crisp passes they didn't do it nearly enough in the last four games.
UVA last 4 games was also 1-3. They lost by 22 to Notre Dame, beat Loserville by 24, lost to NC State by 16 and Wake by 19.
please oh please oh please oh please. I have one of those rare LOLUVa "fans" at work who actually cares about football and even then he pulled out the "wait til basketball season" on me after the latest drubbing. Maybe nothing we can do about the national championships tally (some of which aren't girls squash), but at least beat LOLUVa in shooty hoops even on a down year.
MUCH deserved! Dude had a hell of a week!
Didn't he though? I was impressed enough to think it was much deserved as well.
