For lack of a better place to post this,
Apparently Utah State agreed to join the PAC-12 on Monday.

This is going to be great for the ACC.

Sucks for the team to have to play at noon after traveling down to Miami, getting knocked around, then having to travel back up to BBurg just to travel 3000 miles to California.

Nice for us though. A 3:30pm kick off gives us time to get dinner figured out so we can sit down around 6:00pm and watch the team start playing.

Took me a moment. Leg.

Would not be surprised if they went directly from Miami to California.

They won't do this. no chance. The mens hoop team plays 9pm games in boston and miami and flies immediately back every time- lands at 2am etc. This is also true for most NFL teams.. they play sunday night football and immediately get on a plane back. I guarantee VT is on a plane back to Roanoke immediately after the game in Miami Friday night.

HEY!! for those of us die-hards GOING to Stanford - this sucks... 12:30 games cramp my tailgating style. lol.

I'll be there! We already booked a red eye back to Richmond on Saturday night, so I am glad it isn't a 7:30 PT kick. I was really hoping for a mid-afternoon slot, but that would've put us in primetime and no one wants to see that...

If you need a place to tailgate let me know. Would be glad to have you!

Appreciate that! We fly in Thursday and our plans for Saturday morning are pretty loose right now, so I may take you up on that.

will be there as well. Just flying up and back same day to save on costs. I am glad we didn't get the 7:30 time, but would have been happy with a 3 or 4 PM start.

I'm at a conference in Phoenix right now. Holy hell it's still hot here. lol. I don't know how you do it.

For those of you coming to the Bay Area, DO NOT leave ANY valuables in your car should you be renting, especially electronics that emote a Bluetooth signal. It may be better down at Stanford, but it's still a problem here in SF and Oakland, as well as randomly throughout the Bay Area wherever the crews of thieves are working. It has gotten better, but is still an issue.

electronics that emote

Must be that AI I keep hearing about.

That 5 hour flight should give Bowen plenty of time to watch film on how Miami was able to score 8 times on VT and then say "Nah, I've got better ideas on how we can score on Stanford!"

oof, Miami plays at 10:30 PM. ESPN giving the best team of the ACC the royal treatment.

Honestly, this is the pivotal game of the year to me. Writing off at Miami as a loss. Probably a big loss. That puts us at 2-3 and looking bad. Last year, we turned it around. Stanford is not that good and gives the team a chance to flip the script. Do it, and there is a chance to at least salvage some degree of dignity. Lose and drop to 2-4, think we can write off the whole season and (hopefully) the OC and/or DC at the end of the year.

Don't care that it's a long trip. Don't care that Stanford has a winning record. If you are any good, you beat Stanford. Should have beaten Vandy but didn't. This is another opportunity to make something. Guess we will see.

Bingo. VT was never going undefeated this year- so you get killed by a very good Miami team- OK not the end of the world. But we also didn't think this was a 3 win team either. Well a quick way to win only 3 games is to lose to below average teams like Stanford.

I want this OC on a jet as little as possible. The last thing we need is 10 hours on a jet which might influence him to run jet sweeps.

I hate to break it to you, but he runs them with regularity. 2 of the 3 TDs from Saturday were on jet sweeps.

As long as Tuten or Drones run the ball outside I am good with sweeps. It's honestly their most productive area of the offense.

Yea, I agree there. Although, Im OK with J. Lane, Green, or XTB getting handoffs on jet sweeps on occasion. And they don't have Tuten just run traditonal RB sweeps. Like the two TDs against Rutgers, Tuten was flanked out wide, so it was a true jet sweep, but with the twist of it being an RB lined up in a traditional WR position.
