Wild that we're just over half way through the season and APR and Tuten both eclipsed their sack and rush yards from all of last season respectively. Even more wild when in total the season hasn't exactly been impressive.
I've been impressed by the growth on the field over the past 3 games from the team. They seem to have figured out how to get out of their own way.
I feel bad for Keller not getting more recognition for that game.
Keller had two of the most impactful plays of the game, but didn't flash like APR.
APR was on fire last week.
Those two long runs were on Chaplin's side
I didn't realize that we haven't had anyone with double-digit sacks in a season since 2005. That's insane for APR, considering how much football is still left to be played. If he keeps it up, he just might break Bruce Smith's single-season record.
757 kid that Fuente couldn't land out of HS of course. Thank god for the portal in his case. He's a monster. Coach Cav or Stiney would have gotten him out of HS. Just sayin.
Yep, last to do it was Darryl Tapp with exactly 10 sacks. I agree that's it's wild no one else has done it since then. Probably because APR is making it look so easy with multiple multi-sack games!
Did some digging: I would have thought someone like Jason Worilds (8 sacks), James Gayle (7 sacks), Ken Ekanem (9.5 sacks), or even Amare Barno (6.5) would have gotten to 10 but alas...
Pry this season has been much more willing to let the blitz or edge rush sell out to the QB... Foster was more averse to the long back breaking runs and wide open receivers in the secondary
22 (in an ELEVEN GAME season to boot) and double-teamed on almost every play.
So that's just the tip of the iceberg regarding honors from the BC Game
