Happy V Day TKP
second verse same as the first...
Happy Valentine's Day, TKP!

Only relevant because it happened today but
I have a friend (who already has had tremendous challenges in her life) that has a brain tumor and had an an appointment this morning at 9. She called me about 1pm and it's good news-the bad part is it IS cancer but the GOOD part is it has shrunken some and they are giving her a medication that she can take (a pill) in lieu of having to go in for chemotherapy and eventually should be able to remove it entirely, so she won't miss work nor have to tell them about it or to worry her parents by telling them either. So happy for her!! God is great!!
Great news Skippy!! FUCK CANCER!!!
Thank- especially in her case having already beaten breast cancer two different times(once as teen and another in her late 20s- she is just 35 now)! No one should have to endure as much as she has (including abuse and two lost pregnancies) at ANY time much less at such a young age.
Hopefully they continue to respond.
Is this Temodar for glioblastoma? I had worked on some products in this area over the years. Not many things can cross the blood-brain barrier (bbb) and Temodar is one of them. Although I would call it a chemotherapy.
Have been working on some early pipeline opportunities for a pharma company examining a couple of mechanisms (sorry, I'd get in big trouble if I said who or in what areas), but some hope that one or both of them could cross the bbb.
It might be- she did say it was "chemo-like" but the advantage was not having to go in for extensive appointments. She didn't have the name at tip of her tongue but said it had an o in it so perhaps it was Temodar. Thank you and al the foks in the medical/pharma industry for all the continuing work to knock out cancer.
As a stage 4 cancer survivor who is in the middle of changing treatments after 5 years, FUCK YOU CANCER YOU SNEAKY BITCH!
Best wishes to your friend. Tell her to never ever quit. Ever.
My wife pulled me aside about a month, month and a half ago, to remind me just how important Valentine's Day is to her.
I can't wait to find out what she has planned for tonight.
Can I say my Valentine's Day gift for my wife is that I supported her retiring early at age 54 while I continue to work? Her company offered a buy out last year and she took it. For what it's worth, 3 senior people at my work - all ladies - have commented to me that they are jealous of her.
My wife hasn't "worked" since she finished building our new house last year. She watches her brothers kids so he and his wife can both "work" without having to try and pay for day care.
