Elevating gameday experience idea

Well I thought this was an April Fool's day joke but apparently it is real. FREE CONCESSIONS at Coastal Carolina!? I think VT should take note of this. At the very least offer it for some games and/or half off beer.

They are doing this to get people in the stands.
VT sold out every game last year.
loluva has tried something along these lines with the buy-a-hot-dog-and-get-8-tickets-free deal, to no avail.

As much as I would like free turkey legs, I think it would backfire spectacularly in Lane. People already complain about long lines and wait times. That's what they need to work on IMO.

This here. I loathe missing half a quarter of football just to get some food & drink for something like $40. Sometimes it's because of shitty concessions workers (which I don't blame them as I have heard they get treated like shit), but oftentimes it's because customers take 5 minutes to decide what they want (despite having been in line for 15 minutes) and another 3 minutes fumbling with their wallet or phone to make the payment. If no one is in front of me, I should be able to be in and out in about 30 seconds.

Gimme that QR code scan with concessions delivered to my seat treatment VT.

I miss the old days when they walked around the stands. Faster and probably sold more products.

Innovation?

In this economy?

Yeah it's a fun idea but Coastal Carolina attendance was way down so they are trying to put butt's in seats. They might be better off financially giving the tickets away and selling concessions but only time will tell on that front. Already see the headline of "Coastal Carolina has to close concessions by halftime as they ran out of food."

I do appreciate what the Hokies are doing for recent grads though.

Yeah, winning works for me.

Still only one GOAT for concession pricing.

They have to keep those prices that cheap otherwise nobody would be able to afford anything after spending $5,000+ a piece for tickets........

Get some of these japanese beer girls, that would increase concession revenue. Get a dollar off for refills using the same cup (to cut down on trash).

So you're trying to get me to use 2 girls and 1 cup? Why does that sound familiar...

I'm not sure.
I bet if you google it, you'll remember.

This is going to be great for the ACC.

How about they leave the volume knob alone during off season for the jumbotron so that you aren't deafened by it the first couple games of the year. The past 2 years they blast the shit out of the volume on it for the first couple home games to the point you can't hear the person next to you. Then they figure out a proper level for the second half of the season. I'm not an audio person but I'm pretty sure things come with the ability to save your volume levels so you can put them back easily.

Current Jumbotron volume "technology" with only allowable setting marked in red.

Hey, I appreciate hearing the announcements for the games I stay back in Lot 18.

This is going to be great for the ACC.
