I saw this on ESPN this morning about Alabama linebacker Depriest has been suspended. No word on how long, but as the team's second leading tackler returning from last year this could be a huge loss for the tide.
Also Amari Cooper was injured in practiced, so seeing how he recovers could be interesting with two and a half weeks before Atlanta rolls around.

The quote from Saban didn't exactly make it sound like he would miss the opener. Something to the effect of "if he does what he needs to do, he will be back on the team."
Yeah, it pretty much sounds like Saban is slapping him on the wrist. I can't see him missing any game time because why would Saban risk such a hit to his defense?
"Suspending" a junior player from practice is like giving him a vacation, not a punishment. If he broke team rules and doesn't miss actual playing time, it's a joke.
