Laughing at the signs is probably my favorite part about the show in all honesty. My vote for best of the year would have to be 'Rudy was offsides' at the Mich ND game

Sweet, I see me! Lower right-ish, next to the upside down one. "Tech Tech Tech Tech BOOM! VT on ESPN." It was my freshman year, and one of my first and favorite memories of being a Hokie.

Amazing to think that was the first game of my freshman year and how much things have changed.
First, because I was a freshman and in the Corps, I'm pretty sure we were in study hours and didn't get to take in the Gameday festivities. No TVs as well, so this is basically the first time seeing most of this and knowing all that I know now I think makes me appreciate it that much more.
Also, the the landscape has shifted so much. From what I've watched so far, half the teams are probably bottom of their conferences right now and thinking about the way the season played out makes me hate Matt Ryan right now because of how much talent was on that team the possibility of playing in a title game would have made for one hell of a freshmen year.
Edit: Also, damn you Tom Rinaldi and knowing how to tug and my emotions. Over 6 years later and it is still so powerful seeing what that day meant.

That was awesome! We went out there at midnight to get our place in line.
Anyone remember chucking mini footballs at ECU's pirate on a stick when they got a little too rowdy in line?

One of my favorite Hokie memories is waking up at 2am so that my dad & I could go get in line for Gameday. My dad became the unofficial policeman of the line, catching people who were trying to cut & sending them to the back. After Gameday, my dad hung out & got to meet Fowler. Fowler liked our sign and asked to have it to keep on the bus. My dad cherishes his Fowler signed, Gameday hardhat!

After the Bama game I realized that GameDay was at Clemson. I should have driven up for it, held up a VT sign, and probably would have made it back to Atlanta with plenty of time to spare.

The 2005 GT/VT game had some classic College Gameday signs:
"Our Jimmy is bigger than your Johnson" (referring to the matchup between Jimmy Williams and Calvin Johnson)
"Got Meningitis?" (Reggie Ball was sick the week leading up to the game)
"My Tech is bigger than yours"
And my personal favorite:
"I'd rather have two Vicks than one Ball"

LOL at 'Lennay does nudes'
I love that Desmond thought his joke was downright hilarious but you hear no one else laughing.
I did notice that DH has become the laugh track on set.
GO HOKIES!

A couple years ago (when they were truly god-awful), I saw a sign at an ND game that is, to this day, my favorite:
'Rudy would start this year.'
Simple. Elegant. Genius. I loved it.
Haters. Jorts are cool.
Cheers to Jorts!
Good stuff!!! And love that they do a bit on the signs and all participate.
VT-Duke College Gameday Sign. Be jealous.

smug points recorded, 09
I happened to catch about half of this yesterday...thought it was hilarious! Saw a "Go Hokies" sign at 2:38 (left side over Corso's right shoulder)
Ah two-for-one with the Holtz reference too. My inner middle school self couldn't resist.

I was hoping that they would mention that in 2007, Virginia Tech used GameDay signs to thank the other colleges for their support.

I was there too. I was a sophomore and it was my first year at Virginia Tech. I'm glad I didn't miss it

I just watched all 3 hours and 50 minutes of that while completing my homework. The memories of that in 9th grade brought tears to my eyes. Thank you.

Okay - I admit it - I laughed out loud and scared the dog!

Our sign for that game was "Ball + Johnson = Tummysticks". They quickly took it, but not before it was on Gameday
I had to click on tummy sticks lol +1
And welcome Snake!
Favorite homemade T-shirt at the National Championship: "I'd rather have a big Vick than a little Weinke"
Good stuff, appreciate you sharing it. There are indeed some pretty creative folks out there, but none as good as Billdozer!
This is by far the best sign they have ever had, I started cracking up as soon as I saw it, pure gold

never mind someone beat me to it
Best signs this year:
"Clowney can't read this"
"Jim Delany wears shape ups"
Best signs of all time:
"Which way to the Nickelback concert?"
"Aaron Murray takes it between the hedges"
