Is there actually any point in entering this "contest," or is it going to be rigged like the "Create a hype-up video and run out the tunnel @ the Marshall game" contest earlier this year?

Quick question Chris, did the previous SGA Director get all 400 dollars worth of 1st place prizes in the coach up hokies contest?

I think I missed something...what actually happened with this? I don't remember hearing anything about it.

Obviously dozer would've been top 5 at WORST so I assume someone has screwed him over...which isn't really okay with me.

The contest was to make a pump-up video for the team, and Billdozer submitted an abridged version of his (awesome!) preseason trailer. meanwhile this other guy (was he actually the SGA director?) submitted a video of himself standing in the tunnel, tripping over his words in a stupid statement that included the phrase "We have to go out and score more points than the other team".

The other guy won.

Yes, the other guy was the SGA director. The other part of that was that there was fine print that stated that the top vote-getters (I'm pretty sure there were 5 submissions total) would then be pulled so that someone in Athletics could select the winner. FWIW, Dozer had more votes than everyone else combined. Regardless, the rules stated that there would be 1 winner and the other 4 would receive $100 worth of Nike Sideline apparel which didn't ever happen. So while Dozer may have lost on a technicality, the result was shady and they didn't even keep to their own rules.

I'll happily mail the money to Joe for use on the site. I could care less about it. I'd just rather not have the crappy slogans we've had recently.
