Besides the obvious the upside to this post persuaded me to check out at our own lady Hokies. I was surprised to find 3 Australians on the team. Having lived in Australia and lived in or visited all their hometowns I find myself piqued to keep track of them much more closely this season. Thanks for that.

Well, since she's a freshman, all we have to go by as far as her playing ability is UVA's first game against JMU, which they lost by 17.

And she didn't get any minutes.

Lady Hokies looked great in their first game. Lots of hustle, they looked sharp. Awesome start to the season!

Having an actual point guard this year is going to help big time. I think they will have a chance to do well this year and are at least an NIT team. Which doesn't sound like a big deal, but considering where this program was just a couple years ago, Dennis Wolfe is doing a good job of turning it around.
