In conjunction with Virginia Tech head football coach Frank Beamer's reading program, Herma's Readers, and in honor of Veteran's Day, this week Coach Beamer made a donation of $20,000.00 to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.
"I take tremendous pride in our literary program, Herma's Readers, and I have tremendous respect for our military, Beamer said. "I'm passionate about both, and this is a way for one to help the other. It's just a great feeling knowing you are able to assist these proud veterans when they need it the most. This donation comes directly from our hearts and we hope it provides aid and comfort."
Coach Beamer wore an Intrepid Fallen Heroes hat in Saturday night's game at Miami in honor of all our veterans and those serving our country today.

This is why Frank Beamer is, and I think always will be, one of the classiest coaches in football. 10+ win seasons and a coach as classy as this? We're all lucky to be Hokie fans.
I was thinking about this on my run yesterday. My entire life he has been the coach of this team my entire life. It's almost kind of scary to think of anyone else at the helm. No one is ever going to be able to live up to the legend that is Frank Beamer, and that is at any program. You might win more games than him. You might string together 30 years of 10+ win seasons in a row. But you still won't be all that Frank Beamer is.
I will always think of this program as the House that Beamer Built.
Proud he's our coach, and perhaps the greatest Hokie ambassador of them all.
Yep. He is a total class act. Always has been. Definately a man of great character.....and coach speak. lol.
