Damn that's a lot of people. Bring #ALLTHERECRUITS
I will say that there are projected to be 60-65 recruits coming to this game. A lot of big names will be there
Trevion Armstrong is visiting ODU today.
Sorry meant Travon McMillian.
I dont see any new Fullers....Not sure I'm ok with that.
Marcus Lewis just committed to VT
Sometimes I wonder that when they announce the "University of Virginia Tech" if they're not just trolling the hoos?
Or in Tyrod's case trolling UF
After a game like this I hope the coaches go up to the recruits and say "Son, you'll have a chance to compete for playing time right away...obviously".
"Hey, that's my line"
that's a bit too direct...that is essentially throwing the players under the bus and I don't think recruits would appreciate that.
Really? Competition is a good thing. Any recruit walking on campus thinking that they have a starting job has the wrong mindset. My point was more that in the past Beamer basically auto-RS any incoming freshmen. Given the new coaches and some of the gaps on the team I think there is a much better chance at competing for playing time as a Fr then there has been in a long time.
yeah I see your point. I just don't know if pointing at the lack of talent on the roster now is the best way to sell playing time. Don't want to try deflecting blame to the players
I agree it's a fine line but I think as a coach you will deflect blame to the players when recruiting. The only other option is to deflect blame to yourself which kind of kills the whole pitch. "Come play for me, I suck" vs. "come play for me, you are a better fit for the system".
"good fit for the system" sounds better to me than "obviously you'll get a chance right away"
I'm good with that
Must be all the years in sales where I learn the coach speak.
London must DESTROY his players to compensate for what he's been turning out.
Nah, he just has the 30 for 30 about the "U" on replay.
I can imagine it now. I bet he had it edited and badly dubbed to replace "Miami" with "Virginia" every time it's spoken in the film.
To be fair, when I watched that I believed the U's last President, Edward T. Foote II, was pompous enough to be a Cav.

100% agree with that
Whoops double post
