I was just wondering if there was a tentative schedule on when this would go under construction. I believe the last I have heard about the project was it being approved, along with the site that would lower the length of the practice fields. I may be completely wrong. I know since that time a lot has happened, including a new Prez and AD, lack of financial assistance from Hokie Club, and an assistant AD that doesn't agree with the project at this time and date. I am sure this is a loaded question with no real answer and is floating around in no mans land, along with Drew Harris. I am now ducking under a table as objects are being thrown my way!

Nothing has been announced recently, and I haven't seen any rumors yet.
If I had to guess, I'd say that it'll still be built, if only because of Beamer's influence. When it was announced, it was scheduled to start in Spring of 2014, but I'm not sure if it's still the case.
I want this thing Built and completed ASAP! it kills me that UVA has such a nice field house to use for recruiting. we NEED this.
And looks how many games its helping then win..
They pulled a bunch of top recruits while having a shit product on the field. I'd say it probably helps them.
I don't think the recruits said "Man, they have an indoor facility. Forget the fact that the coach won't be there when I graduate and that their program sucks, I want to go there!"
Well obviously not, but it allows Coach Fondue to paint a picture for them to buy into. It all plays into his 30 for 30 pitch. Also, who said he won't be there? They haven't gotten rid of him yet and I'm not sure if anyone could actually do a WORSE job of coaching than he has.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think he has a ridiculously high salary and is on contract for another couple years. UVA would lose a lot of money if they fired him, that might have some affect on him still being there.
Dont be naive, if your an 18 year old who wants to get in the NFL, these are the kind of things that matter. Imagine yourself, if High school band kids were recruited and Ohio state recruited you and showed you all the media hype the band gets and the Ipads, band room, Tuba section, cool halftime shows.....lets face it, you wouldnt be a VTband nerd but a Buckeye band nerd. nothing personal just saying..
Whoa...bringing out the band nerd comments. Come on now.
Not really though, just needed to find a reason to use that gif.
BLAM! THIS^^^^
"I may be completely long."
No one likes a braggart.
I just saw that now, very very funny, but hey, let's just say I'm blessed :)
Humility is overrated.
Very very true
McGiggity.
As I understand, the design-build teams have submitted their packages and interviews start very soon. A team may be selected and under contract by mid-spring...
