Most coaches would not be so candid about their decisions (even a year later)
Frank knows he would have made alot more headlines if he had hired Ralph,
let alone having a former HC as your OC is a plus. He did what was in the best
interest of the program- no doubt, stand up guy, that HCFB!

I think everyone is overlooking the most important thing, The Fridge let his daughter have a fall wedding.
I guess for a coach's daughter that's the ultimate act of rebellion.
... and daddy baby's wedding takes precendent over baby daddy's career.
Thankfully he doesnt do anything important where other people's careers rely on him... oh wait.
