Durkin is a good sized QB. Especially for an incoming freshman. Could Durkin work his way on the field not as a starter but with a specific package? Or do most assume he gets to RS?

Bitter has speculated that Durkin could replace Hodges in the Wild Turkey but I'd hope that wouldn't happen. Even though Durkin is a big guy he's still smaller than Hodges.
Seems like a waste of a year of development as a QB to me especially with Durkin needing to improve accuracy/footwork.

Was just thinking out loud with that. Have no inside info that that might be the case. Just know that Durkin was a heck of a HS runner in terms of relentlessness.

I mean, college Tebow only won 1 Heisman trophy and 1 national championship.
I expect Durkin, if he gets the opportunity to start, to win 4 national championships as well as the Heisman each year, leading it to become officially named the "Durkin Trophy" and retired in his honor.

Tebow actually won 2 national championships. Chris Leak was the starting QB for his freshman year, but Tebow played in certain packages and even scored 2 TDs in the national championship game.

Andy.. what was the drill Shane was doing with the Rb's and the pad? was it learning to chip block properly? And who has the better dreads.. Mangus or Juice?

Did anyone else notice the picture of Sam Rogers doing that drill with Shane and his boxing glove? It looks like Shane is almost afraid to hit Rogers...

I hate to think that Durkin could be limited to a Tebow-like role exclusively.
He has to be more versatile than this, right?
You mean NFL Tebow right? Because if Durkin can win like Tebow did in college ball then I see nothing wrong with him taking on a Tebow-like role.
