I like the idea of Keihn at Mike. He's got an unreal motor and with his determination could make an outstanding ILB. I also wonder about Trey. It's been hinted on other boards that he may not be ready due to his injury. If he can't make it back as RB would he be able to slide to LB? Also, could ILB be the eventual landing spot for Reid?

Trey will never move to LB. End of story. No way the coaches waste a couple years with him at RB, only to move him to a position that he'll have to learn from scratch. He may not even get back on the field if that happens.

Let me put it this way. Trey Edmunds, JC Coleman, and Jerome Wright are the only known quantities at RB. Of those three who would you most want to have the ball in their hands? For me it's Trey Edmunds. He's a workhorse back. The kid plays with all his heart. He showed HUGE improvement over the last season. He's a guy you want on the field at RB, at the very least until you know what your other quantities at RB are. By the time that happens, he's only got one two more years of eligibility with which to learn a new position. Linebacker is an intense position, without a whole lot of overlap with running back. Think about this. At running back you need to read the defense to know what running lanes are open, and you need to read what defenders are coming so you can block. At linebacker, you need to read what wholes are opening, whether it's a pass or a run, where the runner's going to go, where the pass is going to go, and on top of all that you need to make tackles. That is a LOT to learn in only two years. If we switch Trey from RB to LB we're essentially saying, "You're not good enough to be a running back, and we don't think you're going to contribute in any meaningful way to this team anymore."

I really just have a great deal more optimism going into this season; I think this is when the changes made to the program, particularly on offense start to pay off.

I love and hate this time of year so much. I love that football is so close but I hate that I'm wishing summer away to get to it.
Good writeup. Can't wait to see how all of this shakes out.

I really like our DT group... These all seem like good Foster/Wiles guys...
I really hope we pull Josh Sweat to bring a hammer in the QBs face!
