It feels like VT Football is learning to cater to its most important demographic. Me.
I want to think Whit is behind all of this new press/promotional content for football. Game shows, infographics, ticketing packages, AND MUCH MUCH MORE!
My thought is they are trying to give us some sort of footage/entertainment since they are keeping practices/scrimmages so hush hush.
This is great for exposure. The hard-cores like us don't need any outreach. I already know more about the Hokies 2-deep then I ever knew about the periodic table. But people like funny videos promoting VT sports that cater to their short attention spans. Posting Youtube videos, vines, and tweets are what is going to bring those people on the fringe into the fold.
And I like showing the players having a good time. I doubt that this team has more camraderie than others, but they generally seem to be enjoying the ride and getting along great. And this falls in line with all the stories that you read about Brewer fitting in seamlessly with his team mates. This is really a team you can root for; even if you aren't on TKP.

I got 11. Must say I do enjoy the new things going on around the program. I can say that it is bringing a lot of attention to this season from other fans I have not heard as much from the last few seasons.

Pretty proud of my 11. Happier still that I've watched all of the Fuller brothers play at VT. Vince running that FG block back against WVU is one of my happiest football memories...
The tv clip of that is the best. The cameraman pans up to us going bonkers when Vinny was still on the 10.
Yep, I love it. Scoring the TD is a foregone conclusion, might as well look at the insanity that was the sea of maroon and orange. I was in the North Endzone and the bleachers were literally and perceptibly creaking up and down for most of that game.
I think this is the first year after they completed the new endzone, that added to the insane noise. Ahh, the good old years.
I love it. Hokiesports is still a little clunky but the content is quickly improving. I also think it's smart to have the players in front of cameras. They've all been likeable guys, makes you want to root for them even more.
Roth did a great job, Kyshoen too. But they missed an obvious question to ask, which Fuller is the only Fuller to high five a ref in a game: Kyle Fuller
