it doesnt shock me. i didnt get season tickets this year (although i am a member of the hokie club, i cant make it to nearly enough games to justify season tickets). a lot of alums i know in my area of nc didnt get season tickets, but i got tickets for the wife and i for 38$ a ticket in section 5 on stub hub. i couldnt justify buying 50$ in section 27 at the top of the east stands through vt, our season tickets in the past have been in section 5 as well, so i tried to buy as close as i could. ive gotta save money b/c im saving up for a house, growing up sucks....
I loved away games when I was in school. Seeing the Hokie faithful takeover towns and cities is amazing. I have fond memories of the Hokie Family taking over Konrad's Sports Bar in Syracuse in 2000. The bar was packed with Hokies. Cuse fans would walk in and just turn right around to go find another bar. Those Cuse fans that stayed had a good time talkin football. The best part was the bar seemed to love the Hokie fans because we were a fun loving, rowdy group that did not cause any trouble and kept spending cash.
I wish I took more road trips as a student. Great way to make friends at other universities and make memories that will last a lifetime.
Hit all the games my senior year, we didn't travel too far that year (UMD/Duke/ECU/UVA I believe), and I've also done 3x ACC Championships (First win over BC, win over FSU and loss to Clemson), Orange (Cinci)/Chick-Fil-A (UT)/Sugar (Mich) and FedEx for Boise.
I'm headed up to Columbus this year and hoping to do some of the marquee games in the near future (PSU, ND etc.) Nothing beats Blacksburg and Lane but seeing VT fans in enemy territory is pretty great.

I only recognized the obvious ones. Bud, Frank, Whit, Sands, Marshawn. Teller is an absolute animal.
I don't think that was Marshawn, I believe that was Stanford. He looks like he's been hanging out with Teller.
I also thought that was Stanford, but I'm the worst at recognizing people outside the setting I'm used to seeing them in.
Y'all are right, it took me a side-by-side comparison with their faces on their hokiesports profiles to recognize him.
I saw a little Logan, some Wiles, too.
