Looking to buy tickets to VT vs UNC game for my birthday. However on the tickets sites the "visitors" side, VT, is not listed. Anyone know if sections 101-112 are the Tech side?

we have tickets in section 103 which is near where vt fans were in 2012, the stadium seating for buying tickets is confusing as hell I know that's not much help but I played the guessing game too
I'll be in town with my roommate and a friend if y'all are looking for some friendly hokie faces!
The MV's will be there! I know that doesn't help at all but hey!
Ok so people who already have tickets could you look at them and see what section they are in?
No idea how it compares to where the rest of the VT fans will be, but my group is in 111
Myself and two friends will be on the front row of Section 108
You might want to ask the local alumni chapter:

From the GT forums, it seems that maybe sections 100-102 are for visitors? Note the picture they have linked.

Let's just take over the whole darn stadium.
I'd prefer for a game on my birthday to be around fellow Hokies if I'm going to drive that far for a game.
I'm bringing a bunch of Hokies in section 110. No idea where everyone else is, but row N is gonna be the VT section, I can tell you that!
Oh hey, I'm gonna be there too! And at the tailgate! And in your car!
Who the hell are you and why are you in my car!?!?
Sections 100, 101, and I think 231 are the away seats. my suggestion is to buy an extra seat if you're going, unless you're under 5'7", it's going to be an uncomfortable day. worst stadium seating in the ACC
Read on a site that the front few rows have horrible views.
Either way evidently I probably cant get into their MBA program.
I have never been to Chapel Hill.....so do they allow tailgating? If so, where the best place for us Hokies to park? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I plan on cooking, drinking and playing some corn hole.
Yes they allow tailgating. The best places to park are going to be the parking decks closest to the hospital. It's 10 bucks and will be loaded with Hokies. The deck that I park in is called "The Cardinal Deck"
He's gone, chief.
This is an old picture, but the seating chart is still valid, it's just missing the new seats in the expanded field house they finished off back in 2012.
Visitor's seats (which you would have had to purchase through the Hokie Club this summer) are in Sections 100 through 102, I believe. As I said in the other thread, though, the entire stadium will likely have a heavy VT flavor, as our fanbase represents itself in the Triangle area very well for these games.
We still have 14 tailgate passes to Carolina Brewery on sale through our website. The brewery is graciously opening their doors for us at 10am and all non-liquor drinks and buffet food are included in the price. A portion of every pass goes toward our scholarship, so if you're thinking of coming, please consider this option. Thanks!
Thanks for the heads up, as long as tickets on the Tech side of the stadium I'm happy. What about concerns of the view from the first 3-5 rows being pretty bad?
Unfortunately, those seats can be pretty bad. Kenan is a very shallow stadium, especially for the first few rows, that are essentially flat at ground level before it really begins to slope upwards. Doesn't matter if you are on the 50 yard line or in the corners, you're going to be looking through the team on the sidelines for the entire game. And even more annoying than that, Kenan has permanent backs to the benches, so if you plan on standing the whole game, you're going to leave with bruises on your shins.
Not only that, but Kenan has shrubbery that can obscure some of the view since it is not up against the walls but rather behind the team benches.
Sorry to bring this thread back to life but my wife is in her first year at UNC and my (Hokie)parents are coming down from Michigan for the game. We are NOT getting student tickets and I want to make sure we are surrounded by other Hokies. Safe to assume sections 101-102 is the place to be?
Yep.... Kenan Stadium pretty much sticks all their visitors in the "Surplus Section" areas....
If the MVs or HTs are brought, they will be in Section 100
I'm in Section 211 Row A. I bought directly from the school when their single game tickets went on sale.
Like one of the other commenters said two years ago, the stadium will likely have a fairly heavy visitor presence. My girlfriend and I went two years ago and sat in 130 and there were Hokies all over the place in 129-131, directly across the end zone from the visitor section. Those tickets were only about $40 from a Craigslist seller so that's probably what I'll shoot for again. The view is honestly better a bit further away from the field in those corners, btw.
