Wooow remember when he was the can't-miss new head coach? Just goes to show no coaching hire will be a sure thing, no matter how impressive the coaching "prospect". We should probably keep that in mind.

Wouldn't be surprised if he is the new DC at South Carolina before long. Looks like Whammy may be on his way out.

In Sam Rogers we trust.

He'll be the DC at Texas A&M next year.

Not a huge surprise. Will loluva give him a shot?

Muschamp will coach the final two games of the year before "stepping down," per both ESPN and CBS.

"Exit light..."

Not surprised. Does this means Gaines is a Hokie Lock?

Plan for the worst and hope for the best, not the other way around.

Please, no more "Hokie Lock" declarations. I just don't think I could stand the emotional roller coaster of keeping track of all these recruits and where they are going to commit or intent to commit.

But +1 for keeping the faith.

Go Hokies!

Let's go with "improved odds." I'm not even sure if Gaines has a committable offer from UF yet, anyway...

"Exit light..."

The issue is simply that Florida wasnt ready to accept Gaines commitment yet, simply because theyre also awaiting responses from other players, some whom they rate more highly than Gaines at this point.

In fact, hes not upset at all, and its still quite possible that he could end up with the Gators, and the Gators are committing to continue following Gaines season and revisiting accepting his commitment at the end of the year.

Eastern Kentucky, they'll get after ya.

No, I *don't* want to go to the SEC. Why do you ask?

We don't love dem Hoos.

I hope they continue time-honored Florida traditions such as this...

You mean like this from yesterday's game?

I was hoping someone would have that.

With Muschamp gone, I wonder if UF will pursue BC Head Coach Steve Addazio...

Go Hokies!

It would be interesting- Florida fans had mixed feelings about Addazio's first go 'round there. Probably not a big enough name to satisfy boosters though.

UF fans hated Addazio and Loeffler. They will aim a lot higher than that. But I do expect Addazio will have a chance to jump and with the way BC pays, he very well may go somewhere else.

He'll get picked up as a DC somewhere else easily.

Just in from Lane Kiffin:

"Brah! UF is my DREAM job!"

His wife on the beaches of Florida would be ok.

Wet stuff on the red stuff.

Jake McGee, UVA's leading receiver last year, transferred to Florida because he thought UF would better prepare him for the NFL. It speaks volumes that a player left UVA for a program that fired its head coach before Thanksgiving.

lol

A terrible team with a head coaching position in flux? Maybe he wants to be drafted by Washington...

I think he'd be an upgrade over Loeffler

Could he go back to Duke though?

In Sam Rogers we trust.

That would be pretty odd if he went back to Duke IMO. Left Duke for a bigger job and pay raise the year before. He's been replaced by another coach who was elevated on the staff to OC and Duke is having their best season.

I'd think he could work out at VT. Successful and experienced OC that knows the ACC. Maybe he could convince the 4 star QB that he recruited for UF to follow him.
