Karageorge, a defensive tackle who is also on the Ohio State wrestling team, had no vehicle, wallet or ID when he left, the sister told the newspaper.

"He had some extenuating circumstances that night that lead us to believe he was upset," [Karagoerge's sister Sophia] said.

The reserve defensive lineman didn't show up for football practice Thursday morning, ABC affiliate WSYX-TV in Columbus reported. The Buckeyes are set to play Michigan on Saturday.

Karageorge, 22, is a white male, 6 feet, 3 inches tall, and weighs about 270 pounds. He was last seen wearing black sweatpants over jeans, black Timberland boots, and a black hoodie with FOC on it.

"He never misses practice," Sophia told the Dispatch. "I've seen him go to wrestling practice with a broken foot. I've seen him sick as a dog go to practice. He's always on schedule. He always has somewhere where he checks in."

She said that Karageorge has a history of sports-related concussions and the family is worried that might be disoriented because of one he suffered a month ago.

Anyone with information about Karageorge's whereabouts can call 614-747-1729.

I hope that this has a good outcome for him and his family.

That intersection is close to several large ponds and old quarries. Hopefully he is just hanging out somewhere.

Damn...I hope my fellow Greek is ok.

Multiple media outlets are reporting that his body has been found near his apartment. Thoughts, prayers, and condolences to his family, friends, and OSU.

Believed to be a suicide, very tragic.

ESPN reports that his body & a gun were found in a dumpster. He apparently texted his mom regarding concussions & possible embarrassing behavior as his last communication with her.

Very sad. Lots of prayers for his family.

Don't give up on your dreams.

So sad. My thoughts are with his family.

Concussions are such a scary thing especially the severe ones where you don't know how complete the recovery will be. I really do think there needs to be more mandatory time off from sports for these kids when they have a concussion.

This is such sad news. It really hurts me to see things like this. 2 years ago in my Freshman year at VT I decided to write my research paper on the impact concussions have so I pay close attention to concussions in the media. During my junior football season in high school we played Brentsville and one of their players suffered a concussion during the game, and unfortunately decided to take his life on that Sunday of the same weekend. That hit really close to home to me and really drove the point home to me that all concussions need to be taken seriously. Incredibly saddened to see another family have to suffer.

GIVE IT TO ME ROSCOE!

I graduated from Brentsville before this occurred but it definitely was very sad time for the town.

This is really saddening. Suicide is always tragic on the family and I can't imagine what they must be going through right now. I used to get really sick of the concussion discussions in football and whether the game is safe enough for players, but stuff like this should not be taken lightly at all. I am fortunate enough to have never had a concussion, so I can't even fathom what must have been going on in his head at the time. Again, really really sad news and you hate to see this happen to anybody. Maybe Ohio State can turn this into motivation moving forward, though this issue is much more serious than football.

This one hurts more than any loss on the field. It's absolutely devastating to see a kid take his own life and to know how alone and hopeless he felt to get there.
