Virginia Tech has hired former West Virginia Assistant Head Coach/Offensive Line Coach Matt Moore as team's next Offensive Line Coach.
Moore, whose six seasons in Morgantown, West Virginia included various accolades from a Broyles Award nomination to development of All-American lineman, found himself in a precarious position with the Mountaineers firing of Head Coach Neal Brown. The school proceeded to name Rich Rodriguez their next Head Coach. and subsequently cleared the house with nearly every assistant coach, making Moore available for Virginia Tech to make an external hire.
Stewart rushed for almost 900 yards and averaged over 5 yards per carry for Scot "Juice" Loeffler's Bowling Green team this year, which played Penn State and Texas A&M to within a touchdown on the road this season before finishing the year with a long winning streak in the MAC.
Last night I made an appearance on the Two Deep Podcast and I was very vocal about the lack of improvement at safety, linebacker, and offensive line. The results were not acceptable, and the offensive line play this season coupled with Kyron Drones completely limited the ability for the ball to get into the hands of playmakers where they could be successful, despite good scheming. I rant for more than an hour, and Pete does a good job of keeping me on topic (no easy task.)
Vick said Norfolk State officials reached out to him and that he is intrigued by the potential opportunity of giving back to the Hampton Roads community that has long supported him.
The firings were pretty momentous, and although Pry has stated who will coach in the bowl game, I'm curious what everyone thinks about how quickly we might see announcements, particularly for DC.
I mean, I would think there's kind of two opposing forces, wanting to take your time and make the right hire, find out who all might be interested, and maybe have to wait until after a bowl game, but on the other hand, wanting to make the decision quickly so we can replace any current staff with whoever the new DC wants, as well as making the best use of the transfer portal and needing to make headway with transferees early.

Happy Holidays, I decided to gift y'all with a Pry-ssr. If I have the time over the next few weeks maybe I'll do one for the presumed presser we'll have once the hirings and shufflings are complete.
Late notice, but I realized yesterday that the bowls start today! So the Key Play bowl pool is open if anybody wants to jump in. Group Password #LOLuva
