Relentless and Physical, Joshua Fuga Got the Vibe the Hokies are in need of his Services Next Season

Fuga discussed his recruitment. His coach provided insight into his game and how he might fit at Virginia Tech.

Physical. Physicality. Physicalness. Freedom HS head coach Darryl Overton was on repeat when discussing pupil Joshua Fuga.

"He's a football player," said Overton. "He plays both sides the same way, offensive line, defensive line. He played it the same way, with the same type of intensity, same type of physicality."

Fuga, previously committed to Temple, decommitted from the Owls and verballed to the Hokies within a 24-hour period during his Virginia Tech official visit last weekend.

"It was amazing," said Fuga. "Words can't explain how I felt throughout the trip."

Fuga started 4 years at Freedom. According to Overton, the 247Sports Composite 3-star (0.8275) defensive tackle benches 350 pounds and squats 405. He's 6-1, 300 pounds, but still explosive enough to jump up and grab the rim.
