Virginia Tech gained a commitment on Friday from priority 2020 running back target CJ Beasley. Beasley announced his intent to play for the Hokies in Maury HS auditorium in Norfolk, VA.
We always see the athletes pick a hat and commit to their school of choice, but rarely do we see the moments leading up to it. I hung with @MauryCommodores' CJ Beasley on Friday before he pledged to @VT_Football. #Hokies | #The757 | @CJBeasley7x https://t.co/F9kkvOwXKq pic.twitter.com/QSZUbIdwQI— Mitch B. The Hokies were the first Power 5 school to extend a scholarship to the 5-9, 170 pound, 247Sports Composite 3-star (0.8398) back in January. Since then, he's received offers from Pitt, Tennessee, and Rutgers.
"Tech just gave me that feeling I was looking for in a school, that vibe," said Beasley. "Really, it's the fact that I get to play on a college level at a Power 5 school."
