Whoever made this nailed it, and was overly generous in their representation of Virginia fans in attendance.

Previously from the Lane stadium baked goods or desserts category, the Lane Stadium wedding cake. Has there ever been a Lane Stadium pie? No... OK, then.

There have been plenty of Lane Stadium pies, but people actually wanted to eat them, so no photo evidence.
SHOTS FIRED!
this GIF is amazing...I can't stop watching...
I love pie.
That is all.
I'd rush this field...
Call me a geek but, I'm actually in the planning stages of a Lego Lane Stadium.
If you take pictures throughout the process and the finished product I would love to publish them on TKP.
That's something I have not thought of.
It looks like I'll need to do this in stages.A small one to work out a few details and get the scale correct and how small I can make it and get details correct.
My initial plan had one that was way too big and was going to get real expensive real fast. I mean it's way too easy to get something where the field is 10 ft long so the stadium model is about 15 ft and looks to cost well over $3000.
So, I'm working to see how small I can go for the first one then reset the scale.
Edited: I dropped a zero, I was well over $30,000 not $3,000. Added a , too to make sure I wasn't doing it again.
Its going to cost you a hell of a lot more than $3000 to build a ten foot replica.
When the professor at Ohio State built their stadium, I think he estimated that it cost him almost $75,000 or more in parts alone and took him about 1000 hours to build. It was a 1:100 scale replica of the stadium with about 6,000 lego figures inside.
This link gives you the best photos to appreciate the size of his creation: HERE
You will probably need to go to a 1:1000 ratio if you want to be able to do it for less than $1000. I have experimented with building field parts to look like Worsham Field, done a couple end zones and mid field logos over the years but cant see having the time or space to build something like the professor at Ohio State, at least not until I am retired.
I cant find a link to it, but I believe that Ohio State found a way to buy this from the professor and now uses it as a donation tool, where you can donate a certain amount of money to have a lego figurine created in your likeness to be placed in or around the stadium. Not sure if thats still the case or not.
Yeah, I dropped a zero.
That's why I stopped computing and decided I needed to go smaller, I was not going to have the space anyway.
$1000 would be in my budget for preliminaries esp if I could find a way to make it charitable somehow.
I'd definately toss $1k at it if we could figure out a way....
Getting ahead of myself. I need to figure size and scale first before we start going there.
So, will you have it done by Christmas?
(ducking a thrown shoe)
An early Lego lesson I learned - never buy your son multiple Lego sets for Christmas while promising to 'finish them together'. Good luck on the project...
I will but no promises on which Christmas.
I plan on segments to knock it down to manageable size.
Things like the exposed ends of the east and west stands will determine how small I can scale it down.
While we're at it, can I put out a call for anyone with overview type elevations or studies of details like the front facade or the facing of the bleachers as seen from the gates at the N endzone?
A top elevation with dimensions?
Links are fine.
Cant help with that but I can help with this..

I saw that but the logo and stuff are printed on the baseplate and that's cheating, as far as I'm concerned for a project like this.
Oh well, best of luck!
I have the figurines though.
Awesome. Make sure you have the top half of a uva figure and the bottom half a couple of bricks away and Kam C. in the middle!
Thats pretty cool, I hadnt seen those before. Only problem I have with the endzone set is that it makes it look like we have an offense capable of reaching the Red Zone so its obviously not from this season.
I will give Oyo credit though for making the figurines with legs that bend, something Lego has been missing out on forever.
If you do this, I will refrain from making you the butt of any jokes in 2015 TKP Fantasy Football.
Don't make promises you can't keep.
Thought you wrote "refrain from you making any butt jokes" and was confused as to why
Enter Gingerbread Man.
More gumdrops than fans at UVA's spring gingerbread house contest.
Mike London's going-away present perhaps?
Epic?
Don't get me wrong, its a good effort... but epic would have had the bleachers drowning in bourbon, and the sheer mass of Sam Rogers would have had the thing collapsing within itself.
Since you folks seem to like Hokies baked goods, this was our
weddinggroom's cake last year. You had me at cake.
#teamcake
Awesome!
Those gumdrops are obviously photoshopped. Everyone knows no one goes to football games.
How's the offseason Mike?
Couldn't resist
Next year I will challenge the Lane Gingerbread stadium! BTW....if any of you caught the Steelers game yesterday, I swear Mike London was the ref! I will try to cop a pic. Merry Christmas.
That was horrible.
Cop a pic.......
Egbert how old are you? 14....17.....22? Do you know what cop means as slang in the 70-80's? It means go steal or find something......anything. Cop a feel....Cop a buzz.....Cop a vibe...
People still use that slang today. I think he thought (as I'm sure a lot of us did) you were making a Mike London cop joke.
that's what I thought. cop pun. dude is coming out blazing. Watch out for him.
Having met the wonderful man that is Egbert, I will put the over on 22 years old and also the over on him being a master of slang.
^ be careful, this man obviously lies.
I am however, master of something.....
baiting?
now who's 14
Nope, I'm a fly fisherman.
No bait.
What these guys said here.
It was actually a good pun that I was calling out there.
Mike getting ready for his second career.

Well, technically his third. DID YOU KNOW HE USED TO BE A COP?
Does that mean he can help police our threads to keep everything on topic?

OK...OK..I was drinking Christmas Bourbon!
