Hokie Tracks Does Not Get the ACC Network Either

Thoughts on QB2, tight ends, and a definitive statement from Whit Babcock.

Ryan Willis is QB1 and the announcement shocked absolutely no one. The more interesting detail is Hendon Hooker got the nod as QB2. That's the same Hooker who surveyed his options in January when he opted into the transfer portal. (Which should caution some of the overreaction when a player simply enters the transfer portal, but it won't.) Now the former 247Sports Composite 4-star (0.8903) is a snap away and poised to gain some valuable experience via any mop up duty ahead of what figures to be a much more open quarterback competition after Willis exhausts his eligibility. Justin Fuente continued with his camp praise of Hooker.

"I think Hendon has put a tremendous amount of work in and has improved greatly," said Fuente. "I feel really comfortable with him."

Consistency and game experience separated the two. Again, any repetitions Hooker gets is invaluable for both himself and the Hokies next season. Hooker has all the tools to make the Virginia Tech offense hum.
