I run a not-for-profit operation called **THE HOKIE POKIE BUS** which shares in the cost of chartering a professional driver and luxury coach bus to travel from Northern Virginia down to Blacksburg for VT football games.
Imagine being able to avoid the frustration of stop-and-go-travel and the high costs of gas/hotel/parking/wear and tear on on your vehicle and replace all of that cost and inconvenience one low-cost price per person. The Hokie Pokie bus transports you with other VT fans from easy-to-access locations such as Vienna Metro Station and takes you directly to the campus in Blacksburg. You can pregame on the bus and will have time to tailgate before the game begins. Immediately after the game the bus heads back and gets you to your car so you can sleep in your own bed the same night that you experienced a Hokies game IN LANE STADIUM.
If you are interested, check out Hokie Pokie Bus's website and buy tickets on the bus for this season's games INCLUDING LABOR DAY GAME AGAINST GEORGIA TECH AND FEDEX FIELD GAME: http://www.hokiepokiebus.com/
Also - free tickets and tailgate package contest going on for FedEx game through 8/9/12 (warning - its a third party contest and they make you enter via facebook): https://www.facebook.com/andystailgatecruiser/app_28134323652

Bus for Hampton Roads?
Bus trips are limited here since the Holie Club is not running any trips thie year. Wish there was a bus to FEDEX like I took to the Boise State game.
Well...
There is a Hokie Pokie Bus slated to go from Ballston for the Cinci game (just like the two we did for Boise State). I believe the Northern VA Alumni Ass'n is also sending a bus that has more than one stop. We expect to fill them all easily - maybe reach out to your local Hokie Club and explain how easy and popular a bus would be.
Feel free to put them in contact with me and I will set up a webpage to handle all the logistics too.
It may also be that they are waiting to see what time kickoff is. Noon versus 8pm may make a big difference in planning from down in Hampton Roads.
Thanks
Right now the Hokie Club web site states there will be no bus trips this year. I hope it changes. Here is the link: http://tidewaterhokieclub.exis.net/events.htm
There is a local travel company that is promoting trips but no solid info yet.
