Here's What I Want From Our Team Tomorrow

Fight. Toughness. Simple words with deep and complex meanings. It comes down to your will, the soul of your being to have fight and toughness. In the case of football, it's the often-cliche "playing to the whistle", it's pushing for every inch of field that you can possibly take from the opposition, it's being stronger than your opponent when no one but yourself and your teammates believes you can be...

And you know what? Those simple words usually translate to something else. Wins.

This is what I want -- no, what I expect -- our Hokies to do tomorrow afternoon.
Move the ball forward with consistency. North-South, no East-West please.
Strength from the offensive line on every play. No defenders living in our backfield.
Execution. Running crisp, clean routes, putting a hat-on-a-hat, having blitzes hit home, receivers blocking downfield, and running backs finding the holes and hitting them hard.
Logan Thomas playing like a man possessed, but not necessarily on the stat sheet. Playing to not be worried about carrying the offense, not forcing plays to try to act the part of the hero. Instead, run defenders over like the Tank Engine you are, LT.
Don't let Gio Bernard get to the edge.
Takeaways. Plus side of turnover margin. We can accomplish this.
Emotion. (No need to explain here.)
BRYN RENNER SHOULD BE ON HIS BACK ON ROUGHLY 60-70% OF PASS PLAYS, EVEN IF IT ISN'T A SACK. FRONT SEVEN ON FIRE. LET'S SEE IT.
And finally: JUST WIN BABY.

People can scoff or laugh at all of the above all that they want to, but I believe that if at least three or four of these goals are met, we come away with the W from Keenan.

Let's come together as a fan base, force the sour tastes out of our mouths, and LET'S LEAVE A SKIDMARK ON THEIR TIGHTY-WHITEY-WHITE-OUT!

LET'S GO HOKIES!

Well, I guess talking about it does nothing, huh?
